Aight Guys!! It’s the 2 year anniversary of @hyderabadhousealabama , so we decided to go celebrate with the owner Mohan! He was able to sit down with us and explain all of the dishes that were presented to us. I’m sure a lot of people out there are intimidated by Indian food like me because I don’t know what to order. So he is gonna work on maybe doing some events where he can sit down and explain everything like he did for us. If you have never tried Indian food and have been wanting to, go see Mohan over in Hoover and he can fix you up!
The first dish was Apollo Fish which was fried tilapia and coat with an amazing sauce that had a little kick to it.
The 2nd dish is one that he doesn’t have on the menu, but it was deep fried quail with a couple of dipping sauces, basmati rice and roasted cauliflower.
The 3rd dish was Afghani Chicken Masala which was awesome! Creamy curry with chicken and not spicy at all. Also served with it was Butter Tandoori Roti which is similar to naan, but a little thinner and made with wheat flour.
The 4th was Chicken Dum Biryani which was basmati rice with chicken that had been marinating for at least 12 hours. The flavor on that chicken was insane!
Last was a Plain Dosa which was kinda like a big crepe rolled up and served with 4 different dipping sauces. So you just tear it off and dip it. I think one was a peanut sauce, one was a tomato sauce, a ginger sauce and a lentil sauce.
