Meet Ali! @aliatbaity After studying law, Ali took the decision to change direction completely & follow his passion to preserve the cuisine of his ancestral homeland, Palestine. A self taught chef and with no formal culinary experience, he took the plunge and established the first traditional Palestinian restaurant in the North, carefully curating a menu based on family recipes passed down for generations. His aim is to popularise & showcase authentic #Palestinian ingredients & dishes, such as #musakhan, and bring the taste of Palestine to your home. Save for your visit to @alfred_works It's rare that a dish is 10/10, let alone the 20/10 I would give the Musakhan from @baity.uk 🤤 The chicken was cooked to utter perfection with beautiful flavours coming through from the confit sumac onions, toasted nuts, minted cucumber laban, and taboon bread. A beautiful medley of flavours and textures. If you only try one dish at the food hall, then this is it! Other dishes include a veggie musakhan, falafel, hot honey halloumi, shawarma, slow roasted lamb, and more! There is something for everyone including vegetarians and vegans. From Palestinian flavors to Mexican street food and burgers, you’re literally spoilt for choice. The venue also has a large bar making it the perfect spot for a night out! What I ordered: ⚡️ Chicken Shawarma from Baity: 10/10. This was the highlight of the night! ⚡️ Chicken Birria Tacos from Fuego 1987: a decent choice, but that shawarma stole the show.
