Hello nearest and dearest, Next Sunday night I have the absolute honour of presenting my new album The Accursed Share for Absorb(ed) Festival at @miscellania_ — March 6, 7 & 8. This record has been five painstaking years in the making — five years of slow, meticulous deliberation, doubt, deleting, rebuilding, obsessing, and learning how to complete something that is constantly evolving… I learned that you can’t. It has lived in bedrooms, rehearsal rooms, studios, and somewhere entangled deep within my nervous system. With the support of @blood_of_a_pomegranate , @k2962962962961 , @_absorb__ and so many of you (many credits incoming), to finally bring it into the room .....live and in full .....feels both surreal and long overdue. In humility and due awe, I find myself received among the worthy initiates of the Blue Mountains Void Observance Contingency, and do here submit a musical rendering in service to the Liber Enya devotional. For secrets are not dispensed without care; yet it may be intimated that this work unfolds as a wall-of-sound working, fashioned through layered synthesis: chiefly the Prophet-5 summoned from the MESS repository and set in concert with patterned MIDI operations, drawn from digital tomes long unheard, and borne through generous embellishment and abstraction. Blood of a Pomegranate is the Armenian folk/industrial/noise music alias of Astghik Anahit Lusaberyan. Blending electro-acoustic duduk (3,000 year old Armenian woodwind instrument) and effected vocals over post industrial dronescapes to paint a vast tapestry of chthonosonic resonances. Bacchus Harsh is the sonic embodiment of occult-themed electronics and deconstructed club music. De-territorializing exotica, occult psychedelia and industrial techno with polyrhythms and distorted blast beats. Sonic Flux: a Vortex of Sonic Textures. Our scryers have consulted the Void and it has indicated thusly: i. 'Liber Enya: A Very Rainy Devotional' shall be released on the 16th day of the second month of the year two thousand and twenty six. ii. The names of the artists devoting themselves to the munificent Enya shall be released incrementally, reflecting the iterative nature of human knowledge, pitiful as it is. iii. Further details of the release shall be subject to approval of the Office of Abyssal Relations and Media Engagement. We submitted our release strategy to them but they are notoriously inefficient and often object to our idiosyncratic approach to punctuation, so it is likely to be some days before other details are confirmed.
