"I began my set by diving into the deep roots of my sound: 30 minutes of raw, hypnotic Turkish psychedelia records which form the foundation of my sound. Those textures set the tone-earthy, trippy, and grounded in tradition. From there, I shifted into an hour of classic Turkish disco, letting those warm basslines and vintage grooves carry the mood of the program. The final two hours expanded outward into contemporary Middle Eastern, Afro, and Asian house—modern rhythms shaped by global cities but still carrying the pulse of their local cultures. My intention was to present a modern regional sound without falling into cliches. Instead of leaning on orientalism, I curated folk-psychedelic elements and reframed them through a contemporary electronic lens, creating a bridge between heritage and the present moment." - @baba.noir His 'LIVE FROM @capers.thornbury ' mix can be found on the Crumpler Radio Soundcloud, link in bio.
