Some good exercise for my abdominal moos-cles yesterday as I perched on a cairn to really savour the views of Lake Tekapo and Church of the Good Shepherd with Charlotte. Craigieburn dig day yesterday (plus Friday and today) went well- about 20 folk yesterday so we did a bunch of lowering drains and trying to raise trail surface on drac flat- this is pretty soft still so, as many tyres on it (cuckoo creek back to forest lodge) as possible this week while it’s sunny please. We did a bunch on hogsback to, though we’ll shut it now because it’s freeze thawing and is a mess for most of the day, even after 4pm when the souron e moto rider assumed everyone would have left by…. Big shift the tools up at craigieburn today. It was an absolute cracker of a day with a most excellent crew to sort some issues before the trails close for winter. No doubt @richardgoldsbury will be kicking tomorrow for finish the last drainage issue. We were lucky to have a special guest appearance from @sarahmabin 😀
