14 Fears The Fear: The Lonely The Number: I have always had this overwhelming fear that I will be alone. Always. That the people I love will not love me nearly as much, they’ll realize I’m too much or not enough, and they’ll leave. Or that those I love the most will forget I exist when I’m not present. Over the years this fear has shown up in so many aspects of my life. Things are too good with a romantic partner and I have to leave. I get in a fight with a friend and I am convinced the only way to move forward is to end the friendship. Because if I leave first it won’t hurt as much. Through therapy and A LOT of reassurance I’ve realized this isn’t the case. Through drag, I’ve been shown that I am thought of even when I’m not around. This number was INCREDIBLY cathartic and healing in a way I had hoped for but didn’t expect. I made my drag debut last night at the Dashcon 2 show at @lush.mpls ! I was so so nervous but all the work I put into my outfit and performance truly paid off. I truly am so so fucking grateful to everyone that encouraged me to do this. A huge thank you to @pippin_panic for inviting me to be in this show and creating such a comfortable space to debut. And of course a big thanks to everyone who came to support me it genuinely meant the world. 14 Fears The Podcast and Drag Show @rustyquilluk created something incredible that has inspired my drag from day one. I debuted as a character from the The Magnus Archives and will continue to do TMA inspired drag going forward. When @bigaldrag asked me to be in this show it was an IMMEDIATE yes. I had been not so patiently waiting for someone to produce a show based around my favorite media. Al put together a truly amazing and unique show and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Al as a producer in the Twin Cities!! 14 Fears The People Getting to do this number with my best friend and my husband (also my best friend) was incredible. I truly credit The Magnus Archives with fueling my relationship with both these people. Pain introduced me to the Podcast a few years ago. We’ve done multiple TMA cosplays together and even a TMA panel. It is truly a wonderful friend and drag parent and I’m so lucky I got to do this number with him. He stepped in at the last minute and helped calm my absolute panic. The ManLikeCreature and I bonded heavily over TMA early in our relationship and continue to do so. When we got married we even chose our new last name from TMA. The tiny video clip shown here is making me cry on repeat because I cannot count the number of times they have comforted me in that exact way. They learned this choreo in less than 3 days and absolutely KILLED it. I truly believe y’all will be seeing more of MLC in the drag scene in the future. Little mentions: this was the first time my mom has seen me perform and I will not shut up about it! I got to be in another show with my drag sibling, Muck Racket! My real life sibling (@cdr.triplea keep an eye out for his debut soon) came to another show!! AND @fatherlesbehaviour helped majorly with the first portion of choreography. He was deeply missed for this show but was such a wonderful help.
