I want to say thank you to the Makers space.
I've been artist in residence for over three years and it's been an amazing experience. Primarily it was to be using the screen printing facilities and to see what I could produce. This then grew into model making and developing a series of creatures. It has been one of those rare opportunities in which there freedom to explore ideas and room to experiment and fail.
I moved to Hull seven years ago and the Makers was one of the first creative spaces I joined. Then there was Covid, and then other studios. When the studio I was in closed, Matt asked me if I would like to try a residency for a couple of months, see how it goes...
I've taken on a new space in Feral for a few months and then who knows?
So I'm slowly moving out of the back room at Makers. I like to think that I contributed something during my time in there making prints and daft creatures. I'll still be around as a member.
Thank you Matt, Dan, Alex, Joe and Joe, Lucy, Sarah, Beth, Nelle and Anna. Thank you for all your help and putting up with my odd conversations and daft enthusiasms.

These are all going to be zines of photos I've taken of all these amazing bands. I don't say it lightly, but they are all really talented people and I've had some great evenings listening to all there brilliant music.
At some point I've got to print the insides for these. But for the moment, it's a start.
