Will, Jim and Johnny had the BEST couple of days in Barnsley 💛 Over 200 amazing Year 4 & 5 pupils from Joseph Locke Primary School have been dancing with us, creating Mawimbi — a special pre-show performance they’ll be sharing as part of Barnsley Garden Party ✨ Next Saturday (23 May), these brilliant young dancers will take to the space under our giant aerial rig at The Glass Works, just before Up in the Sky begins — kicking off the spectacle with energy, joy, and local talent 🌈 🗓️ Catch them at 12:15pm & 3:15pm 🎪 Followed by Up in the Sky at 12:30pm & 3:30pm We’re so proud to be working with these young people and can’t wait to share this moment with you all. 🎉 Street Games Are Returning! We’re so excited to share that Street Games are back for 2026! Originally commissioned by OPUS (@outdoorplacesunusualspaces ) as the official Festival Site warm-up for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony and Birmingham Pride, this much-loved show continues to bring people together through play – and we’re thrilled it’s still in demand. We kick things off at the brilliant Scala Festival of Play in Worcester (@scalaworcester ) – a joyful, day-long celebration for children aged 3–11 and their families, packed with circus, aerial arts, gaming, dance, drumming, visual arts and plenty of opportunities to play. Join us on Saturday 23 May for a full day of free, fun-filled activities. We’ll be bringing Street Games to life with interactive experiences inspired by games from around the world, all set to live music and dance that everyone can jump into. Performed on a striking 7-metre circular rig, six incredible performers leap, spin and soar through the air in a playful and powerful story about a group of young men finding their way and discovering what makes them feel at home.
