Hope everyone else on the block enjoyed it though :) People… this is the live session for “Fight For You”, a track I think about a lot… It came from a really emotional place and interestingly enough, I currently have someone in my life that feels worth fighting for It’s a very delicate song, so it felt right to strip it back and capture it like this with two of my favourite guitarists I’ve ever worked with, @conor.thomas and @streetratmusic (THEY KILLED IT!!) Beautifully shot, directed and edited by the incredibly talented @benpfilm and produced/mixed by the wonderful @kindelan_ at the incredible @ourhouse.studios in Leeds! You might be wondering why you’re looking at this image right now…. This was shot in January 2020. That was the month and year I decided I was really going to do this…. Be a singer... An artist. I reached out to my childhood friend and long-time photographer @rashakotaiche . She saw the vision from early. Five years on it’s funny because I genuinely feel like I’m only just getting started. Writing music is still one of the main ways I get things out. It’s one of the only places I can properly express myself no matter what’s going on in my life and I can’t lie, this year has been tough lol… There’s been a lot of change, good and bad and it’s affected me more than I ever expected but, if anything it just means you’re going to get even more music haha I’m honestly grateful for every musician, artist, producer, engineer, photographer, videographer, label, distributor and every person I’ve met this year who I didn’t know last year. I’m grateful to anyone who’s taken the time to tell me how my music made them feel because that really means a lot to me. I also want to say thank you to my close friends and family. To my manager @tommieisbrown and the people I collaborate closely with. You’ve kept me sane pushed me when I needed it and reminded me to do better… Thank you to every radio presenter who’s played my music whether I’ve seen it or not and to the content creators and music lovers who put time into sharing and discovering music for other people to enjoy. We really appreciate youuuu honestly! Anyway… I’m ready for the next chapter New music is coming sooner than you think and I hope you’re here to join me as we step into the next five years. Glastonbury, 2024 This may be a delayed reaction, but it’s only just sunk in that I’ve played one of the biggest festivals in the entire world… on the day, in the moment, at the time I genuinely did not know how to react but as I think about it now, I am in shock.
