༻#audarecords༺ New York based Trip Hop artist, Prettyhousecat is an exhilarating vocalist of Mexican/ Indigenous American descent. She delivers a haunting performance on her new single “There you go” Over @new_position_ ’s hypnotic downtempo production.
She resourced an Amy Winehouse meets gothic from Arizona energy on this track. Melodic, gritty, and effortlessly commanding. Her voice cuts through the mix as she dismisses casual attention and leans fully into self pleasure and freedom. The track also contains some assistant writing help from THE GTW. Dj’d for the first time in forever last night @californiaclipper in Chicago. We played the afters of the Akai solo show. Had some fun moments with friends. It’s our second black planet party there. I tried out some beats, songs I liked and unreleased tracks opening it up. Mostly listened to @sirdh_@issapartylabel@99_arcane . Sky Jetta just released a video for her electro track, “can’t be friends.” She’s been hopping the pond, shifting and working and is cementing herself as a solid face in the avant pop / underground dance space.
