I started BJJ 15 years ago just hoping for a new hobby that would keep me engaged during a mind numbing 9-5.
With the permission of @capelkev I was awarded my black belt by @garydavies_bjj@matt.male and Gary Baton infront of my @ascentcombatsports team.
Little did I know how much this stupidly niche grappling sport would change my life. At the core of almost everything in my life is this sport. I wouldn’t have got freelance or travelled the world without this sport and for that I am eternally grateful. Fun fact. I have had a black belt in my draw for over a year thanks to a job from @enlightenjiujitsu where I was privileged to watch my belt being made infront of me and document it.
From the humble beginnings at @chrisreesacademy to now a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in this part of my journey. Black belt starts a new chapter and I’m excited to see how long I can last and where it will take me.
