After ‼️eight years ‼️ of training BJJ I’ve FINALLY won my first ever Gi match and I won it in the first Gi I had ever bought. 💖 I’ve been working really hard on positional dominance in training (which is hard when you’re often the smallest in the room lol) but I finally feel like my efforts are paying off! What a privilege it was to get to be Charl T’s - now Charl A’s - bridesmaid. 🥲 I’ve known Charl since we were 7 or 8 years old, and we met at Stagecoach 😂 We then ended up living on the opposite side of the road to one another growing up, and we’ve been best friends for a solid 20 years now. She’s one of the best women I know. She inspires & guides the most underprivileged kids in Blackpool at her work, she is one of the most kind, understanding and emotionally intelligent people I know. As her Dad said in his speech- she just loves to help people, no agenda - it’s just who she is. This love goes beyond her work and into her friendships & romantic life too. From performing in Alice & Wonderland (and me not being one of the flower girls with you <\3), to house parties most weekends, to trying to find an illegal rave and never quite getting there, to being grown ups with degrees and big girl jobs - Charl has lived through everything with me and, likewise, I have with her. I wouldn’t be who I am today without our friendship and I love you so much @charltitto . When she met @mrandert0n I just knew that she was going to marry him. They are the perfect pair. The energy in the room when you two did your vows had everybody crying because they could feel the love radiating off you both. 🥹 To watch two wonderful people find each other and put everything they’ve got into one another is so beautiful. I love you guys. I love your love. And I’m so glad you’ve found each other. 💘 May your love live forever guys X

Please message me if you know any Editors who would be interested in an investigative piece on the fight to get predators out of combat sports. It feels like every day I open this app someone new is accused of crimes against women and/or children. A black belt, or being a high level in any combat sport, does not make you exempt from the law or consequences. A lot of women - myself included - start combat sports because they’ve come out of an abusive relationship or have been sexually assaulted. So to hear that women and children are being assaulted ON THE MATS is beyond disgusting and quite literally NOTHING is being done about it. This is happening over and over again and again. Please DM me with suggestions of Editors and/or publications you think this would suit. I want this to reach further than the martial arts community - it needs to go mainstream. I’ve been a journalist for over 10 years and I was also a main staff writer at multiple grappling magazines over a four year period. I’m more than qualified to write and discuss this. But as mentioned, I don’t want industry magazines I want major publications. If you stayed for the whole video or managed to read up to here - thank you. We need to stop ignoring these things - the fight doesn’t end until we ALL stand up for one another.
