Sustainment is something that has been overlooked for far too long in the gear community. I say we harken back to the average GWOT Infantryman and relearn some harsh lessons. Each mag can equal a minute in a gunfight. Sustaining that kind of fight with a team is possible with 8 mags a piece. As an auto rifleman you may want 12 or more. Most rigs people have now only carry 4-6. If you’re prepping for a shit hits the fan scenario are you really prepared for what that will take? It means more meds, ammo, water and comms than one can carry. Make plans accordingly and find similar friends.
