I’ve been thinking a lot about friendships and community this winter.
There’s something so distant feeling about these days. It’s almost like we’ve forgotten how to be involved with eachother truly. Things are so busy and fast and all over the place…
When in reality now more than ever we need eachother. We need trust and communication and a feeling like we can move through this chaos together.
I’ve kinda released into the idea that we have to go through this cycle of distance to remember why we need closeness…
How do you keep your heart open when there’s only relationship with expectations to find?
How do you stay kind when society trains us to abuse and walk over that?
It’s a strange kinda competition, not a thriving community, that I see mostly…
And yet, when the present moment can be there… and people can drop into something beyond themselves…. I feel that old feeling of a tribe.
There’s something to be said about showing up, not with YOURSELF. But FOR something else. To show up for a movement, for a belief, for something that inspires you from your spirit.
To show up in the grounded political sphere, to be curious, to have conversations, to see another perspective.
Something we are all gathered around and focused on….
It feels rare for the fullness of that. But damn when it’s there, it’s there and I love all of life for it.
A day like that in Denver on Bicycle day.
Shoutout to @youaretheportal and @na.mas.tay for putting it on.
Day 2 of creating with @spiritbird_trust
Learning absolutely so much around the space industry. The trading, the focus, the future, the technology.
Space is the next frontier for us humans.
So stoked to be tracking the stories and helping to develop narratives.
Also just having a blast with homies in Colorado Springs.
Nothing but energy after @alyxxmariee and I linked at @solarpunksummit in Austin, TX ✨✨
