Hello film club friends!
It’s been a minute since we’ve been active and so this may not make it to everyone, but we’re excited to share that we’ll be screening most of our Assorted Kinds short films and a few bonus films this Sunday May 1st at The Broadwater Theater (main stage) in Hollywood.
The event is free (with registration only), so come out and celebrate this filmmaking accomplishment with your fellow independent filmmakers.

With everything happening in America right now, it felt like the right time to revisit our film Nine Two. Words from writer/director @davidgallardo “2 years ago almost to the day we were rehearsing & prepping to shoot my short film “NINE TWO” set during the 92 Riots. The reveal at the end of the film was to drive the point home that nothing has changed in regards to police brutality and true justice for black lives. Last night was surreal.”

Corey is charming, has a way with words, and kind eyes and smile. The short revolves around the interaction between Corey and Jose, so strong dramatic acting skills are a must.

Jose carries himself with a distinct swagger and bravado, that you'd think he always gets whatever and whoever he wants, and yet, he still has a quiet shyness about him, that makes him charming, and hard to say no to. Jose knows that Corey has a girlfriend, but that won’t stop him from trying. The short revolves around the interaction between Corey and Jose, so strong dramatic acting skills are a must.
