🎻 New work: “Cocteau’s Circle” for the Australian Chamber Orchestra 🎺 So thrilled and honoured for the opportunity to draw this one. The brief was unbelievably fun — to depict a night club scene in 1920s France. Drawing the ‘20s in the ‘20s. Capturing members of the orchestra and the legend himself: Jean Cocteau 💫 Looking forward to seeing the performance in November (and to see the work in real life!) 🎹 Thanks @lizzymcgillivray & @jackywinter for making this happen so smoothly. 🐦 Big thanks to @australianchamberorchestra for the opportunity! 🎫

🍻 New Work! 🏭 Illustration for @xxxx.beer 🍺 A most unexxxxpected opportunity that I’m so grateful of. I grew up on the Gold Coast but when I got my first “real job” I was working in Milton — home of the “Milton Mango” that XXXX beer is so affectionately known as. The original office of @whoisjosephmark had a view of the XXXX factory, and when I first moved out of our family home — I lived just up the road from it. Such an iconic brand and beer that has truly stood the test of time (over 100 years old) 🥭 I never would’ve dreamt of drawing pictures for it! When the brief came in, courtesy of my rep @jackywinter , I crossed my fingers and drank my beer hoping for a green light. I started drawing right away. Depicting everything that’s iconic to Queensland — our sunshine state — and everything that fits in the brand’s limited colour palette. 🌴 A king parrot, the “big pineapple”, a red kangaroo (“Wallaby Lewis”, the king of rugby league) and cooking shrimp on a barbie. 👑 Typography was inspired by an old Four Ex ad (slide 8) ✍️ And I animated “Mr. FourEx” just as a bonus 😉 The work is now live & for sale on the XXXX shop. 💻 Special thanks to my Jacky Winter agent @nami.pokes for helping the project along and being that exxxxtra set of eyes. 🥁 Process… Part Four of Five 😤 My poster for @fullflowermoonband ’s tour documentary “All Night, All Day” 🌝 Oh and it’s a full moon tonight! This part focuses on @lucy.fur__ — the drummer, and @national.bestseller once again on guitar 🎸 I think it’s impossible to get a still frame of a drummer that’s not blurry… so I tried to replicate that motion blur with my painting, smudging the colours around. 🥵 This series of timelapses also doubles as evidence that no 🚫 AI was used 🚯 Art is simply much too fun to let robots do it for us ❤️‍🔥

I spent a lot of hours smudging colour around for this one and recorded my screen for most of the time… the result of which is 5 whole process reels 😂 Part Two coming soon, obviously.
