Amy Sherald had a rare heart condition and, after waiting months, received a transplant and has found creative ways to honor her donor, Kristin Lin Smith.
“I have on my Instagram account, I hashtag it ‘adventures of Kristin and Amy’ so that I can mark all the big moments and include her in those moments. And when I sign my name, I put a little heart on the end for her,” explains Sherald.

On the way to the Emmy’s Cheffy insisted we stop at @baltimoremuseumofart to see the “American Sublime” exhibition by Amy Sherald @asherald . He made sure to wear his best outfit for “such blamazing, powowful, blincedibow works of awt! No notes” if you get a chance to see ANY of her paintings do not miss out.
