Artolution believes that art is not just something we create it’s something we live, share, and grow through together. Working at the intersection of public art Artolution uses mural painting and creative expression as tools for empowerment, healing, and social change. By collaborating directly with communities, especially those facing displacement and adversity, the process becomes just as meaningful as the final outcome; Change.

Salwa’s House – Azraq Refugee Camp – Artolution, Jordan At Salwa’s House, women are not only creating with yarn; they are weaving moments of connection, patience, and emotional support. Arm and finger knitting provides a safe and calming space for focus, expression, and stress relief. Through each piece they create, participants build confidence, strengthen their sense of achievement, and reconnect with their creativity. The group setting also plays an important role in wellbeing. As women work side by side, they share skills, stories, and laughter, creating a strong sense of belonging and mutual support. Every stitch carries meaning, and every shared moment reflects the healing power of art, community, and collective creativity. #armknitting #womenrefugees #womenwellbeing #artforwomen

Creative Education Program – Azraq Refugee Camp – Artolution, Jordan As part of the Creative Education Program, children are taking part in interactive theatre activities that create a safe and joyful space for expression, movement, imagination, and confidence-building. Through theatre games, role-play, teamwork, and communication exercises, children learn how to express their emotions and ideas in positive ways, listen to one another, cooperate as a group, and build trust with their peers. These sessions also help children overcome shyness, strengthen their self-confidence, and use their voices, bodies, and creativity as tools for learning and self-expression. Theatre is more than an artistic activity. It is a meaningful learning experience that supports children’s social and emotional development, encourages teamwork, and helps them feel seen, heard, and included in a supportive environment. Through art, we continue to create spaces where children can learn, connect, express themselves, and grow. With special thanks to our amazing artists , whose creativity, dedication, and care continue to make these sessions meaningful, joyful, and impactful for the children. @ahmad.sl.a @ammar_alsarhed

In Azraq Refugee Camp, students explored a simple but powerful question: what does belonging mean to you? Through the Promise Project in Jordan, implemented with GIZ, students from different classes and backgrounds came together to share ideas, listen to each other, and translate their perspectives into a collective mural. Each student began with their own drawing. Through a collaborative process led by Artolution teaching artists and educators, these individual ideas were brought together into one piece that reflects their voices, values, and sense of community. This video captures that process. The conversations, the teamwork, and the moments where students begin to see themselves as part of something shared. This is the work of Artolution Jordan (@artolution.jo ) through the Promise Project.

Salwa’s House – Azraq Refugee Camp – Artolution, Jordan In the pottery and ceramics training at Salwa’s House, every touch of clay carries a story of patience, focus, and quiet strength. As participants shape, smooth, and decorate their pieces by hand, the process becomes more than a craft. Working with clay offers a calming and grounding experience, helping women slow down, focus on the present moment, and express themselves through creation. It supports well-being by encouraging relaxation, confidence, concentration, and a sense of achievement. Within this safe and supportive space, clay becomes a tool for healing, connection, and resilience reminding us that beauty can be shaped slowly, gently, and with care. #claywellbeing #womenmentalhealth #womenempowerment #womenreferee

Salwa’s House – Azraq Refugee Camp – Artolution, Jordan At Salwa’s House, we don’t just create objects… we rebuild stories. This piece is created through Islamic Geometry using the marquetry technique, beginning as small fragments layer by layer, just like the journeys of the women who made it. With focus, patience, and quiet dedication, beauty emerges from the simplest details. What you see is not just a table… but the trace of a journey of learning, strength, and rediscovering self. Every line holds time. Every pattern holds a story.

Salwa’s House – Azraq Refugee Camp – Artolution, Jordan Nisreen Al-Halqi, 44, a Syrian refugee and participant in the Finger and Hand Knitting Program at Salwa’s House. Here, knitting became more than a skill ,it became a space for calm, healing, and emotional relief. With every stitch, Nisreen found a moment of peace, slowly rebuilding her inner balance and confidence. Today, she sees knitting not only as a source of well-being, but as a path forward. She dreams of returning to Syria and opening her own knitting workshop, where she can share her skills and start again. What began as simple threads has become a journey toward healing, independence, and hope 🌿 نسرين الحلقي، 44 عامًا، لاجئة سورية ومشاركة في برنامج الحياكة بالأصابع واليد في بيت سلوى.
