We’re raising money because art has the power to heal, inspire, and transform lives. Every mural we create, every story we bring to life, and every connection we build helps children, refugees, and marginalized communities find hope and resilience in the face of unimaginable challenges.
With your support, we’re not just painting walls; we’re weaving stories of strength, rebuilding identities, and fostering belonging in places that need it most. Your generosity fuels programs that bring healing through creativity, helping people turn their pain into possibility and their dreams into reality.
Together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change—because resilience is an art, and your support makes it possible. Will you join us in this mission?
Hello to our recent and long-time followers.
Our story starts with our founders Joel Berger and Dr. Max Frieder, community artists who joined forces with a mutual vision of spreading change using the universal language of art.
From its humble beginnings, Artolution has expanded across the United States, Jordan, Uganda, Colombia, Bangladesh and beyond. Artolution supports local artists in vulnerable communities to lead public art projects with youth. We provide our teams funding, training and access to a global community to succeed in uplifting their communities.
We believe that local leaders in the arts can make life-changing impacts for the thousands of children and teens they serve each year.

We’re thankful for our partners and donors for helping us achieve our vision.

One of Artolution’s signature projects is the “Foundstrument Soundstrument,” an interactive musical sculpture made out of discarded materials, an approach created by co-founder Max Frieder (@maxfrieder .) This program teaches children about recycling and generates awareness about the importance of a clean community and a sustainable environment.
The Rohingya community in Cox’s Bazar chose to build a peacock out of recycled bottles and cans. For the Rohingya, a peacock is a symbol of hope for the future.
“We are making a sculpture out of the trash because it gives a message. If we throw trash here and there, it will get stuck in the drain, and because of the trash, the soil becomes infertile. If we collect the trash and color it up, we can make such an amazing soundstrument like this."

For almost a week, we’ve been bringing this wall to life through art, with 20 students actively taking part in this creative journey.
Asma, one of the participants, shared that before this, she only used to draw in her books with pencils and had never painted with brushes and colors on a wall.
“This is my first time painting on a wall, and it feels so special. Working with so many colors, learning from amazing artists, and creating something meaningful with my classmates has been such a joyful experience. It’s something unique beyond our regular classroom activities, and this memory will stay with me whenever I see art or colors in the future.”
This experience is not just about painting a mural—it’s about learning, creativity, and creating unforgettable memories together.

Final mural of “Unity in the Community” now lives on the front of the Clay Ave Public housing Community center in the South Bronx at the corner of 168th and Clay Ave. This mural is a story where the older generation represented through a grandmother who had passed away from the local community, inspiring her grandson through images of the dreams of the children and families from the community as well as the symbols of the sustainable development goals, and the importance of the environment for future generations.
This artwork was a concept by the local community and a beautiful testament to the power of narratives created by communities coming together through storytelling. This is the first half of the two wall mural , and stay tuned for the second half of the story!
