Van Buren is the second street that was given to us on the 2nd anniversary for @bedstuywalls . Oh and we only had two weeks to fill that block for the day of the festival. All we asked from the artists was to make this block fun and colorful for the residents and passersbys. Yesterday I went on an inspection run, to make sure the art hasn’t been damaged. The natural light was the perfect time to shoot this. You have to know what exact time to come and take shots. We get a lot of sun and shadows. #bestuywalls #bedstuy #brooklyn #nyc #community

When my wife @miki__mu moved to NYC from Italy almost 23 yrs ago she saw this image Martha Cooper took in a magazine and cut it out to frame it. Fast forward to 2026 , so when Miki saw that was the print for sale at the @bronxdocumentarycenter , she said babe I must go and buy it. To see my wife excited and explaining the story to Martha Cooper brought a warmth and happiness to my heart. Oh!
