The artist, BoogieRez, describes this mural as “a living map of memory and creativity, a visual eruption of everything we’ve picked up along our journey. It’s built from the people, places, and energy that shaped us, every wall we painted, every story we shared, every moment that left a mark.” We Bring Everything With Us is one of 57 murals across New York State NYSCA was proud to fund in 2025 through the CHARM program, made possible by the Office of the Governor. OCTOBER 10, 2025 THE START OF SOMETHING BIG. A STEEP HILL. A HUGE WALL. A VISION CALLED UNPACKED. We arrived onsite with a plan and a vision ready to take shape. The hill was wild. The wall was massive — the kind of setup that lets you know the story’s worth telling. The mission was simple: wrap this by late October, early November if everything lined up… but the setup had its own rhythm. What should’ve been a smooth run turned into a daily dance with the lift, the incline, and the clock. The incline changed everything. Every time we had to move the lift, getting it leveled became its own job. Some moves cost an hour. Others took three — just to get stable enough to reach full height. Once everything was set, it stopped being about plans and started being about feel. The wall let us know what it needed, and the work turned into a constant back-and-forth. Repetition. Small decisions. Trusting the process until things started clicking. From 9AM to 8PM, we outside. On the wall all day. No shortcuts. Long hours, full days, letting the work take the time it needed. It was a grind — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Then daylight savings hit, and everything changed. Later starts. Earlier breakdowns. The cold took over — wind sharper, shade colder, cans almost too cold to hold. Through all of it, the process stayed the same: show up. assess. get busy. CURRENT PROJECT CONTENTS: 28 days. 4,725 ounces of spray paint. 30+ gallons of bucket paint. 45 × 185 feet of wall. Two types of lifts. UNPACKED — Part 1. More art everywhere — that’s Albany Center Gallery’s motto! 🎨 Introducing another new mural: “We Bring Everything With Us” by BOOGIEREZ. The piece is actively coming to life and already turning heads with its vibrant storytelling. We recently caught up with the duo to learn more about the meaning behind the work and how it’s taking shape on 48 N Pearl St, the future home of ACG. They shared that the mural tells a story shaped by their travels, experiences, and interactions with the community — a journal in the form of art. This mural was made possible by Albany Center Gallery (@albanycentergallery ), artists BOOGIEREZ (@riiisaboogie & @rezones ), the New York State Council on the Arts (@nyscouncilonthearts ), and Jankow Companies (@jankowcompanies_ ), with additional support from the City of Albany (@kathymoransheehan ) and the Downtown Albany BID (@downtownalbany ).
