“There is a calming, grounding quality to Artemis Studio, much like its founder, interior designer, decorator and stylist Elizabeth Flynn. The newest arrival @pinetreecircle in Topanga draws its name and inspiration from the Ancient Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals and the moon.”
Read about @artemisstudiola and what it means to me, the founder @theelizabethflynn in the current issue of Topanga New Times.

A custom white oak bed we designed for our #marvistaeclectic project and was made by @itsnottrash 🤍
It was inspired by crate type platform beds - and the clients wanted a space and shelf around to store books and objects.
The headboard was made slightly smaller than the frame to fit between the two windows - as the original architecture of the house was made for a Queen bed. It actually works especially as the frame was designed with an expanded base.
Happy Mother’s Day
From our family to yours -
It is my greatest blessing to share life with these two.
Wishing all the Mothers ( in all that it means ) a special day.
Lily @lilybleuandrew shot on film, by her feral sister @clairebryettandrew in her painting studio, Topanga.
These two grew up together roaming these wild hills and their connection to both the land, the energy of the mountains and each other comes through poignantly in their work.
Their shared show , Feral Sisters will be on at Artemis through June and explores themes of poetry, wildness, horses and girlhood.
Sace the date - June 13th - when we are planning another evening of music , art and a few other surprises in celebration of their work ✨

Claire Andrew is one of our Feral Sisters currently exhibiting at Artemis.
Claire was born in the Canyon ( on Inspiration Trail ) and has been exploring our creeks and mountains with a camera in hand ever since.
Blurring the lines between portrait and poem - Claire is obsessed with capturing not just how a subject looks but how they feel.
Utilizing prisms , crystals, wild flowers and dust to dirty the images, melding them with nature.
This obsession evolved into a career in filmmaking and editorial photography - looking at the world with a cinematic eye, a reverence for natural light and the connection humans have with animals and nature.
In Feral Sisters, Claire’s photography yearns to be a visual echo of the canyon that raised her - how we merge with our landscapes and emulate the feral creatures and wildflowers we are neighbors and friends with. Happily enmeshed like a tangled up love story with our natural surroundings.
Feral Sisters will be on through June and both @clairebryettandrew and @lilybleuandrew pieces are now on our online shop.

Lily Andrew is one of our Feral Sisters, currently showing her paintings - An Outlaw Lover, Mighty Tough and the Naked Snake at Artemis.
Lily is a born and raised Topanga feral. Growing up riding horses with her sister on dusty trails, sketching, painting and taking photographs in fields with wild mustard-seed, sleeping under full moons, and crossing paths with mountain lions.
Being surrounded by such magic and nature, inspired her from an early age to make art influenced by the wildlife and stories she grew up with. Legends of bandits and ghosts, coyotes and lost loves. Her collection of works is a love letter to the wilderness that raised her.
Here she is in a picture taken by her sister Claire Andrew with her painting Mighty Tough which is framed and available now at Artemis.
Stop in and take a look- open a page of her poetry book Pearls and Barbed Wire - the perfect compliment to her works.
