Artists & Mothers has launched a limited edition scarf with the artist Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili. 100% of the proceeds of sales will go to Artists & Mothers, a nonprofit organization that provides $25,000 grants to artists for childcare.
Alexi-Meskhishvili is a Georgian-American artist who lives and works in Berlin with her husband and two children. Using both analog and digital photographic techniques, her work explores themes of memory, perception, and identity. She often applies her imagery to translucent curtains, which act as soft veils within space, obscuring and distorting their surroundings. For her collaboration with Artists & Mothers, Alexi-Meskhishvili took “Napkin”, a work exhibited in her recent institutional show, “there, but not” at Kunstverein Braunschweig, 2025, and translated it to a limited edition scarf.
Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili is represented by LC Queisser, Tbilisi and Cologne, Galerie Molitor, Berlin and frank elbaz, paris. Her solo exhibition, Georgia, opens at @galeriemolitor on May 2nd
Our sincere thanks to Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili and Rachel Comey for making this project possible✨❤️
Additional thanks to artcccorp and Galerie Molitor for their support.
✨Join us on May 8th from 4–7pm at the Rachel Comey Crosby Street store (95 Crosby St, New York, NY 10012) to celebrate the launch. The scarf will be available for purchase in-store and via the link in our bio ❤️🔥

A peek behind the scenes into the making of IN THE VEINS. The film was shot over the course of five years as our team documented wildlife rehabilitation facilities, a cryogenics lab, New York City’s Times Square at the strike of midnight (several years in a row) — all while filming the daily routines of raising young children — drawing a connection between ecological efforts, climate unraveling, and the labor of care and parenting.
Working on the film was an opportunity to meet and form relationships with some incredible wildlife conservation organizations. If you can support, please do it today!

My new film, In the Veins (2026), is premiering this week in “New Humans: Memories of the Future” at the New Museum, after 5 years in the making.
In The Veins is about the emotional impact of the mass extinction of animals, told from the perspective of childhood. I was drawn to the cognitive dissonance between the emphasis on animals in all aspects of children’s lives, which completely disappears for most adults.
It’s not a feel-good movie but there’s an important purpose in representing climate grief on screen. I think these are the emotions that we all experience individually, but haven’t yet digested collectively. In order to be acted upon, these events have to be represented in culture, and this is our role as artists.
The film is also a meditation on two different concepts of time and the political implications they carry: linear time, the straight arrow into the future, enamoured with creation once-and-for-all; versus cyclical time, which connects death to birth, an end to a new beginning, and teaches us that there is only life if we tend to it.

Thank you to Massimiliano Gioni for including me in “New Humans: Memories of the Future” which opens to the public on March 21.
Alexandre Singh and @nmusteata appreciation post: three years ago (almost to the day) I ran into Natalie in our neighborhood and she told me about a movie idea she and Alexandre had where people would pay for things by getting slapped in the face. She said they’d been approached by a French production company, the inimitable @misiafilms and that the film would be shot at @galerieslafayette
We’d been talking about their film ideas for a couple of years and this one sounded crazier than the others so I blurted out “surely you’ll need the help of a US-based producer too”. They did and welcomed me into the @two_people_exchanging_saliva journey.
In the process, I met @helencve who saw the potential of this film and @paulmoakley sealed the deal with @newyorkermag
It has been an absolute honor to work alongside so many talented people, including but not limited to: @zaramirebrahimi@luana.bajrami@vickykrieps@rezvanfarsijani@hannnnnarr@bobak____@taylor.rowley
An Oscar is a dream, but the reality of working on this project has been pure magic. Thank you for having me.

We are deeply honored that the Academy has recognized @nmusteata and Alexandre Singh's, black-and-white, French-language film, TWO PEOPLE EXCHANGING SALIVA. Made as an international collaboration shaped by the experience of exile, the film follows Malaise and Angine, two women whose tenderness toward one another shows how an act of love—even a single kiss—can become an act of resistance.
