From a young age, my father made me appreciate gardens. He took photos, made me pose in style in front of plants and trees. Today, walking down the streets of Paris, in his favorite shoes, and wearing my brand, makes it a full circle moment. I feel joy, pride, and nostalgia. That’s the poetry I envision in the brand. How good you feel and look, is essential to us. @kentegentlemen styled by yours truly and captured by my good friend @realericlee

We have landed in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, this week and we’re being shown around by Designer and DJ Aristide Loua (@arristide)! We begin our tour at the waterfront - think slow, sentimental and poetic. And we experience the best sounds at Gasoleo (@gasoleo.ci). According to our tour guide, it’s “the spot for the best soundsystem in town - best lighting, set up, views and lounge areas, surrounded by karting tracks” We stop for a savoury unforgettable meal at Chez Oman in Bassam, where they serve delightful Bassamois dishes, right by the water! We round off our tour, settling at Lepic Villa Hotel, which is also home to Aristide’s brand’s showroom (@kentegentlemen), and we have a wildcard stop at The Bushman Cafe for a fusion of only the best food, chocolate, music, art and architecture, topped off by scenic wild bushes, plants and flowers. What spots in Abidjan would you add to this list? “Dans mon jardin” is personal.I grew up surrounded by gardens - at home, at school, down the street. Quiet places where time slowed, where innocence felt endless and joy came naturally, like air, free and abundant.Returning there now, as grown man, feels like looking my younger self in the eyes and saying: I see you. I carried you through.This collection holds that softness. A space for healing, for regained confidence, for breathing again.
