BEYOND THE DIRECT GAZE
11-29.03
@vlp_galleri hosted by @sic_cph
This exhibition explores Eastern European β specifically Belarusian β identity shaped by stereotypes, fragmented histories, and the tension between external perception and internal incompleteness. Working with presence and absence of archives, the artists approach memory not as a fixed narrative, but as an ongoing process of reassembling.
Fragmentation becomes a truthful form of memory, where vulnerability transforms into resilience and renewal.
Part of the VLP Gallery Resilience Residency with Belarusian artists.
