‘For Congo’ Round 4: A poetry and music fundraiser event for @letsacttogetherforcongo to supply disadvantaged children and family with urgent medical equipment in eastern Congo.
Think of this as your pre-world cup party, your cultural bank holiday weekend motive, your way of helping kids displaced in their own country by another country who went to through the same stuff 3 decades ago.
And yes, this is more than poetry, it is more than clicking your fingers, it’s an introduction to the culture if you don’t already know it, it’s us doing what we do best for a cause that concerns not only just us but the world.

‘For Congo’ Round 3: A poetry and music fundraiser event to raise money for @letsacttogetherforcongo for the children who require care and for the injured civilians in Eastern Congo.
Also this is a watchparty for the intercontinental World Cup playoff final. It’s the biggest game in 50 years for the DRC and they are 90 minutes away from qualifying for the biggest tournament in the world. You’ve seen the Lumumba tribute, you’ve seen the penalty win against Nigeria back in November now time for them to finish the job.

An excerpt of my poem
‘Twitter Convo with a Palestinian’
What’s happening is history repeating itself. It’s tough to speak about sometimes but the era of silence is over.

🇬🇧🤝🏾🇺🇸👀
Trying to speak up for the voiceless
Trying to help the most vulnerable
Just because it’s not in the news
Doesn’t mean it’s not happening
In fact this is when people start to move mad
Lock in and spread the message
