Congo 🇨🇩 has been the hidden engine behind major global industrial revolutions throughout history. Past, Present, and Future, it’s the secret weapon. Let’s learn about Congo and its shaping of the Industrial World. Remember, throughout these periods, the extraction of resources from the Congo has been linked to colonial exploitation, forced labor, and unethical mining conditions. Throughout. Without reprieve. And this is exactly why we say Free Congo. Like and share to educate others because we have all—all benefited. Have you learnt something new? If so, comment below! #freecongo🇨🇩

“The Congo problem is a world problem. Victory will be continental in its reach and its consequences, and so would defeat.” “Let us be sure never to forget it; The fate of all of us is at stake in the Congo.” What did our forebears have to say about Congo? 🇨🇩 Let’s learn together. #freecongo

Human Rights Watch’s May 2026 report, “We Are Civilians!” documents serious violations by the M23 armed group and Rwandan forces during their capture and occupation of Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo from December 10, 2025 to January 17, 2026. Based on more than **120 interviews**, the report details **unlawful killings, summary executions, rape and other sexual violence, abductions, and forced recruitment of civilians. HRW documented 62 cases of summary executions and unlawful killings including men, women, boys, and a girl, and emphasized that these likely represent only a fraction of the true toll. The report calls for urgent independent investigations, accountability for commanders and officials, reparations for victims, and international support for justice mechanisms. “We are civilians.” Those were the words of people in Uvira as armed forces broke into homes, shot men and boys, abducted civilians, and subjected women and girls to sexual violence. A new Human Rights Watch report documents grave abuses committed by M23 and Rwandan forces during the occupation of Uvira in eastern Congo, including summary executions, rape, enforced disappearances, and forced recruitment. Doctors Against Genocide stands with the people of Congo and with all communities facing mass violence, impunity, and abandonment. The world must not look away. Call to Action Demand an independent international investigation, accountability for those responsible, urgent protection for civilians, and immediate support for survivors of sexual violence, displacement, and war trauma. Justice for Uvira. Protection for Congo. No impunity for war crimes. /report/2026/05/14/we-are-civilians/killings-sexual-violence-and-abductions-by-the-m23-and-rwandan

It is with deep sadness that we share this news. Yesterday, we accompanied one of ours to his last home. A painful moment, but filled with love, memories and respect. His commitment, his presence and his humanity will continue to inspire our path. We warmly thank all the people who support us in this ordeal. Your presence, your messages and your solidarity touch us deeply. Rest in peace, Junior. You will remain forever in our hearts. 🕊️ #homage #acttogether #rip #souvenirs #solidarity

It is with deep sadness that the organization Agissons Ensemble announces the death of one of its members, a travel companion whose commitment and presence have marked each of us. Beyond his role within our organization, he was a generous soul, always ready to reach out, listen, and bring comfort around him. His passage among us was not in vain: he sowed values, smiles and a humanity that we will cherish. Today, it is a huge void that settles in our hearts and in our actions. But we choose to transform this pain into strength, by continuing the fight and the ideals he carried with so much sincerity. We send our most sincere thoughts to his family, loved ones and all those who had the privilege of crossing his path. May his soul rest in peace. His memory will remain alive forever in our commitment. Let’s Act Together

🇨🇩 Today, we are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support during a very difficult time. A community we have stood beside for many years has been struck by a devastating fire that destroyed homes belonging to hardworking traders, along with the goods they rely on for their livelihoods. These are individuals and families who have shown resilience, dedication, and generosity despite limited resources. In a matter of hours, they have lost not only their memories, their shelter, but also their means of income; the small businesses and wares that sustained their daily lives. Today, they face the urgent need for basic necessities: food, clothing, temporary shelter, and resources to begin rebuilding what was lost. The road to recovery will not be easy, but with collective support, it is possible to restore hope and stability. We are appealing to all well-wishers, friends, and compassionate individuals to stand with this community in their time of need. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping families get back on their feet. If you are able to assist in any way, through donations, supplies, or sharing this appeal, your kindness will go a long way in rebuilding lives and livelihoods. 🔗 in bio ❤️‍🩹 Thank you for your compassion and generosity. #freecongo🇨🇩
