Had to post this before the DOMS sets in tomorrow and I regret running a marathon. 😂 I did it. I bloody did it. I ran my fastest marathon in the wind and cold. It was so cold my left calf muscles were not cooperating in the first 10km that I was almost literally dragging my foot on the ground. This is a lesson learnt to ALWAYS warm up (yes, I did not warm up and was definitely asking for it). Thankfully the pain went away and I could focus on the game plan. I stayed focused throughout the whole race, did not hit the wall, and even enjoyed the last 6miles! 🤯 Used all the mental skills tools I had in my pocket and now I can say, they truly work wonders 🤩. 3:16:14 for a 26.45miles marathon (that extra 0.25miles was very much unnecessary and painful 🫣) and an 11 minutes PB which is exciting and annoying at the same time because Philly was supposed to be my last marathon. 😅😂 Thank you to everyone who has given me their support and showed their love, especially friends and the amazing @hydrow members who don’t hate me on all the running contents on my social and are always cheering me on ❤️❤️ Special thanks to @zuckermanross for always hyping me up (he ran a PB too!), @elanamaman for being such an amazing supporter and pacer for him and his parents for coming down to watch us race. ❤️ Thank you Philly for showing up despite the crazy cold weather. (I’m starting to love Philly and a little bit of this running thing now 😂). No more running for a week (or so, I think). Now we rest, eat and be merry 🦃. @philly_marathon #philly #phillymarathon #marathon #marathontraining #marathoner #runner #running #raceday #fallracing #mentalskills #personalbest #iloverunning

🌟Making it official🌟 I started a business a few months ago to help athletes with their mental skills. I am offering a service that I wished I had more in my competitive years. I was only introduced to mental skills training in my last 2 years of my athletic career but with that type of training, my overall performance and well-being improved. I dare say that it helped me qualify for the Olympics- mental skills training changed my life and I hope I can help others change their lives for the better too. Help me spread the good word around that I am open to take in new clients. I work with athletes from all sports and of all abilities and ages. I work with teams, coaches and parents too. Feel free to reach out with any questions! ☺️ @3hpathlete #mentalexcellenceco #mentalexcellence #mentalskills #mentalhealth #mentalgame #mentalstrength #mentalskillscoach #athlete #olympicathlete #olympian #athleticcounseling #sportpsychology #highperforming #highperformer

Late to post of Mother’s Day (but shouldn’t everyday be a day we thank our mothers because we are alive?). I was lucky enough to grow up with a mum. Our relationship wasn’t always perfect, we sure had our struggles. But looking back now, I realize she loved me the best way she knew how. She raised five kids mostly on her own, without the help of Google or ChatGPT 🤯 and somehow, she got us all through life alive and standing. The way she disciplined me, protected me, and taught me about life shaped so much of the person I am today. As we grow older, it’s easy to blame our parents for our pain, our habits, or the parts of ourselves we struggle with. But what if they truly gave us the best they could with what they knew? Yes, our parents influence the first chapters of our lives. But eventually, it becomes our responsibility to decide what we do with our story. Our past can either become the reason we stay stuck or the reason we rise. So here’s to all the mums who tried their best. The mums who carried us for 9, sometimes even 10 months, sacrificed pieces of themselves. Because the truth is, some women could have made terrible choices while carrying life inside them. So for the mums who stayed, who sacrificed, who kept trying even when life was heavy- thank you. Because without you, we wouldn’t even be here. ❤️ . . . . . #mothersday #mums #daughters #mothers #love

We are past the halfway mark! 5 months in and apparently 5 months to go. Did you know that most pregnancies are actually closer to 10 months than 9 months? . . . . . #pregnancy #babybump #secondtrimester #pregnancydiaries

I was feeling a little sad the other day because I’m so far from family and friends and I don’t know how baby registry works or baby shower or all these baby things. I feel so so alone. 😢 But you all came forward with love and support and I realized that I’ve found a community here in the US that has held me in ways I didn’t know I would need. Thank you for seeing me and holding space for me in this chapter of my life. For allowing me to fully embrace this pregnancy, learning as I go along, while continuing to inspire others and being inspired by others. To everyone who has reached out to ask how you can support us during this pregnancy- thank you. If you’ve been thinking about supporting us, we’ve created a registry with things that would truly help us get started. If you’d like to contribute, we would be so grateful, but please know there’s absolutely no expectation at all. We also warmly welcome any gently loved baby items. We’d be honored to give those pieces a new life with our little one. If you have anything to pass along, feel free to DM me and we can arrange shipping or pickup More than anything, your love, your messages, and your support mean everything to us. Thank you for being part of our little village ❤️ /aisyah-ross (Link to baby registry in my IG bio too)

Turning 38 and embracing every moment of this life I get to live. A reminder to myself that birthdays are a celebration of life, and life is always worth celebrating. Happy 22 weeks of growing you 🤍 This second trimester really is as sweet as everyone says and you have made it so easy on me (except when it’s ultrasound photo time 😅). I love being your home more than anything and thank you for allowing me to love my body even more 🫶🏽. . . . . . #week22 #pregnant #babybump
