Horseshoe Hill captures luxury Sunshine Coast Hinterland living — a striking, curved architectural home featured on Grand Designs Australia (Season 12).
Designed by Joe Adsett Architects and built by Jager Build, the project was recognised as Queensland’s Colorbond House of the Year (2025) at the Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards, and also took top honours at the HIA Sunshine Coast & Wide Bay Awards.
Set on a steep, landslide-prone site in Bald Knob, ARCOS delivered the geotechnical expertise to support this complex build, including:

Strengthening regional rail infrastructure
As part of Queensland Rail’s North Coast Line Capacity Improvement Project, three ageing timber bridges near Berajondo were replaced to improve the safety and efficiency of the regional rail network.
ARCOS Group partnered with DT Infrastructure to deliver temporary works designs for heavy-duty working platforms, overcoming challenges including floodplain conditions and remote site access.
Our team also assessed locally sourced materials for platform fill, achieving 40–55% cost savings while maintaining performance and safety standards. Throughout construction, ARCOS provided ongoing engineering support to coordinate works across multiple crews.

The PDP2 Contaminated Soil Remediation Project marks the first stage of BHP’s Port Debottlenecking Program, supporting increased throughput at Port Hedland to 330 MTPA.
Delivered within the live Nelson Point Port precinct, the project involved the excavation and safe removal of contaminated soils — enabling critical future infrastructure upgrades.
ARCOS Delivered:
> Full civil engineering design, including road geometry, earthworks, drainage, and sewer design
> Structural design for the water treatment plant
> Detailed erosion and sediment control design for highly sensitive environmental site/sesitive receptors
