Don’t miss our stories later today! The @architecture_hunter team is in Norway, exploring BIG’s breathtaking masterpiece, The Twist, at the renowned Kistefos Sculpture Park. @kistefos @big_builds “We proposed a raw and simple sculptural building across the Randselva river to tie the area together and create a natural circulation for a continuous art tour through the park. Completed in 2019, The Twist is conceived as a beam, warped 90 degrees to create a sculptural form within the park and connect the two riverbanks: a museum, bridge and sculpture in one”, say the architects. _project: The Twist @kistefos _architecture: @big_builds | @bjarkeingels _photographer: @gregorycole (slides 1-4) / @laurianghinitoiu (slides 5-6) / courtesy of @big_builds (slides 7-8) _location: Jevnaker, #Norway ——— @architecture_hunter is a non-traditional media that inspires, informs and entertains a worldwide audience of over 3 million design enthusiasts. 🔎 get published: architecturehunter.com/register 🎥 watch & read: architecturehunter.com 🏆 follow: @architecture_hunter_awards 🏷️ tag #architecture_hunter to be hunted

Casa GAK by Bernardes Arquitetura is conceived as an almost invisible architecture, embedded within the landscape and shaped as a natural extension of the site’s topography. Organized around a central courtyard, the house dissolves the boundaries between indoors and outdoors through movable glass panels, green roofs, and open-air voids that enhance light, ventilation, and connection to nature. Warm materials and custom-designed interiors balance the raw presence of exposed concrete, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and deeply connected to its surroundings. _project: Casa Gak _architecture: Bernardes Arquitetura _landscape design: D’orey Brasil _images: Fernando Guerra _location: Porto Feliz, Brazil —— @architecture_hunter is a non-traditional media that inspires, informs, and entertains a worldwide audience of over 3 million design enthusiasts. 🔎 get published: architecturehunter.com/register 🎥 watch & read: architecturehunter.com 🏆 follow: @architecture_hunter_awards 🏷️ tag #architecture_hunter to be hunted

Under the theme Minor Keys, the 2026 Venice Art Biennale proposes a quieter and more contemplative approach to contemporary art, moving away from spectacle and toward slower, more intimate forms of expression. Curated by the late Koyo Kouoh, whose vision continues to resonate throughout this edition, the exhibition unfolds across an almost infinite universe of perspectives, narratives, and sensibilities. Among countless interventions spread throughout Venice, these were some of the exhibitions, installations, and national pavilions that captured our attention the most. _cover image: At the Edge of the World II, 1998. Cedar’s Kin by Omar Gandhi Architects is a hillside residence that cascades toward Lake Huron through a series of interconnected volumes shaped by the steep terrain of the eastern shore. The program is distributed across a main house, a guest cabin, and a beach hut — each sharing the same formal language and extending the architecture across the landscape. Each volume rotates subtly to align with existing openings in the tree canopy, framing views of the lake while preserving the surrounding forest. Open terrace spaces project between volumes, creating a bridge between interior and canopy. The exterior is clad in eastern white cedar, which continues seamlessly into interior ceilings paired with oak millwork — forming a continuous, enveloping surface. Environmental sensitivity guided the entire process, with early collaboration with local conservation authorities informing the siting and strategies for tree preservation and erosion reduction. _project: Cedar’s Kin _architecture: Omar Gandhi Architects @og_architect _location: Huron County, Canada _images: Ema Peter @emaphotographi —— @architecture_hunter is a non-traditional media that inspires, informs, and entertains a worldwide audience of over 3 million design enthusiasts. 🔎 get published: architecturehunter.com/register 🎥 watch & read: architecturehunter.com 🏆 follow: @architecture_hunter_awards 🏷️ tag #architecture_hunter to be hunted

Hanazaki Paisagismo Studio proposes a workspace where landscape is not complementary, but structuring. Located in Pinheiros, the project occupies a compact urban plot and transforms it into a dense, green environment embedded within São Paulo’s fabric. Conceived by Studio Guilherme Torres in collaboration with Alex Hanazaki, the design prioritizes immersion from the outset, placing vegetation, light, and atmosphere at the center of the spatial experience. Vertical hydroponic gardens, tropical planting, and movable roof systems define a dynamic interior, where climate and nature actively shape how the space is used. _project: Hanazaki Paisagismo Studio _architecture: Studio Guilherme Torres @studioguilhermetorres _landscape: Alex Hanazaki @alexhanazaki _location: São Paulo, Brazil _images: @estudiony18 _outdoor solutions: Arthur Decor @arthurdecor _vertical greenery: Vertia Green Design @vertia_green_design _video: Architecture Hunter In collaboration with @vertia_green_design @arthurdecor

What if movement took the form of architecture? Fitness meets design through a quiet shift in perspective, where equipment is no longer just functional, but part of the space itself. NOHRD approaches fitness through this lens, shaping training objects with sculptural clarity, refined materials, and a strong sense of presence within interior environments. At Salone del Mobile during Milan Design Week 2026, the brand presented systems like StudioLine and StepTower, alongside its Custom Fitness Design service, showing how performance tools can be tailored to specific spatial ideas. The result is a subtle integration where movement, material, and architecture exist in balance. _visuals: courtesy of NOHRD In collaboration with @nohrd

Episode 8. In Rome, on Lungotevere delle Armi, stands a fascinating residential building constructed between 1976 and 1978 and designed by architect Mario Stara in collaboration with architect Giancarlo Pennestri. The building is an imposing and brutalist parallelepiped block, softened by sculptural balconies that run continuously around the entire volume, lending a sense of movement to the façades. At the four corners, then, massive perforated cylinders, which are structural supporting elements, house the stairwells connecting the various floors and the terrace. #palazzinaromana #concretearchitecture #architecture #architecture_hunter #roma

As part of the first edition of BAB, Electrolux celebrated its 100 years in Brazil with an immersive showcase bringing together over 300 products across the exhibition’s 27 spaces, exploring the intersection between technology, intuitive design, and new ways of living. At the center of the experience, Casa Bem Vivida Electrolux — designed by Superlimão — unfolded as a contemporary home environment, combining interactive elements, curated programming, and a seamless integration between products and space. Guided by a strong sustainability premise, the structure was conceived for full reuse, allowing it to be disassembled and reassembled in future activations. 🎥 original production by @architecture_hunter _images: @sirleioldoni @_felco In collaboration with @electroluxbr

Hanazaki Paisagismo Studio, located in Pinheiros, transforms a compact urban plot into a dense and immersive workspace where landscape becomes the central architectural element. Designed in collaboration between Studio Guilherme Torres and landscape architect Alex Hanazaki, the project balances architecture, vegetation, and atmosphere within the constrained fabric of São Paulo. The design inverts the conventional relationship between building and garden, placing nature at the forefront of the spatial experience from the moment of arrival. Vertical hydroponic gardens, tropical vegetation, and movable roof systems shape a dynamic environment, while materials such as shou sugi ban wood establish a dialogue between Brazilian landscape culture and Japanese references connected to Hanazaki’s background. 🎥 watch the full video on our channel & get to know more! _project: Hanazaki Paisagismo Studio _architecture: Studio Guilherme Torres @studioguilhermetorres _landscape: Alex Hanazaki @alexhanazaki _location: São Paulo, Brazil _images: @estudiony18 _outdoor solutions: Arthur Decor @arthurdecor _vertical greenery: Vertia Green Design @vertia_green_design In collaboration with @vertia_green_design @arthurdecor
