The start of #milanosalone is just around the corner, our 21st edition🫣…Hard to believe, isn’t it? Here are 20 fragments and memories from past Salone/Fuori Salone projects, with some images dating all the way back to 2005. We definitely had fun along the way 💫
Introducing #ApproachingSalone, the new digital campaign by Sigma (@sigmaglobalvision ) in collaboration with Salone del Mobile.Milano. The project curated by @mrlawrence_milano , explores the rituals, gestures, and atmospheres that define the “approach”—the preparation, the sketches, the travels, and the creative tension that builds before the international design community converges in Milan for the #SalonedelMobile2026.
Ten international ambassadors—designers, architects, and creatives—were invited to interpret this phase through the lens and the Sigma BF camera.
Let’s dive into how Arabeschi di Latte (@arabeschi ) and Artsi Ifrach (@artcdirector ) have interpreted this journey
✨ How do you approach Salone?

“ The pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal” […]
There aren’t many things to be happy about these days, but this week there was also some positive news, and happiness should always be celebrated…
The #theinternationalhappinessday is celebrated throughout the world on 20 March. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012.
“The General Assembly, conscious that the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal, recognizing also the need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples, decides to proclaim 20 March the International Day of Happiness […] “

Calabrian mostaccioli originate in Soriano Calabro and are among the oldest ritual sweets of Calabria’s gastronomic tradition, alongside turdilli.
Made with flour, honey, and cooked grape must, they are handcrafted into anthropomorphic and zoomorphic shapes. Among the most striking is the horse 🐎 , a symbol of strength and good fortune, especially meaningful in the Year of the Horse.
Also known as “mustazzuolu,” their name comes from the Latin mustaceus, an ancient wedding cake.
Between history and legend, they are said to have been spread by a mysterious monk. Historically, their tradition is linked to the Carthusians of the Certosa di Serra San Bruno and later to the Dominicans (1510), who promoted pastry craftsmanship between the 17th and 18th centuries.
A sweet that blends art, symbolism, and tradition ✨

Tomorrow is the last day of Carnival and we would like to share some images of “Papà del Gnoco”, the legendary Gnocchi King of Verona’s Carnival.
Back in the 1500s, when a famine hit Verona, a local doctor, Tommaso da Vico, decided to leave his money to throw a massive public feast for the poor on Fat Thursday, centered around gnocchi. The guy in charge of handing out the food became a local hero.
Now, every Carnival, they crown their own satirical “king.” He gets a crown, lavish robes, and the best part – his scepter is just a giant golden fork with a big “gnocco” on top.
Thank you @eleonoraortolanix for sharing this beloved tradition 🎊👑🥟
