I had the opportunity to do a new short commercial anime for the taiwanese sunglasses brand @klassiceyewear produced by @eddyanimation.tv It was commissioned to celebrate their seven anniversary. In this video inspired by Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion, we follow a female character inside a lab where she enters a machine which scans her face to choose the perfect shape of Klassic glasses, her style outfit and projects her into an imaginary and virtual Taipei. Thanks to the whole team for this wonderful project. After being launched at the @printedmatter_artbookfairs in New York, the Riso-print book CHUO RAPID LINE published by @cancanpress will be presented for the first time in Paris at the amazing bookstore @after.8.books Tuesday May 7th 6P.M-9P.M I will have the opportunity to sign it to you. To accompany the release of the book, Can Can Press also produced 2 Riso posters of Tokyo and Yotsuya stations. “Pobuvai Na Dni”, the 3rd single from IL Est Vilaine’s upcoming album — a dark ballad sung in Ukrainian by Yuri Khustochka and Kate Curly. A distant dialogue about loss and separation, where two voices search for each other, unsure they’re heard. FR Pobuvai Na Dni est le 3ᵉ single du prochain album de Il Est Vilaine. Derrière ce titre aux accents slaves se déploie une ballade sombre et suave, écrite comme un dialogue à distance. Sans jamais nommer frontalement la guerre, le morceau parle de perte, d’éloignement, de ce qui se défait quand les corps et les vies se séparent. Chanté en urkrainien par Yuri Khustochka et Kate Curly, deux figures de la scène ukrainienne basées à Paris, Pobuvai Nadni joue sur une langue à la fois mystérieuse et profondément poétique, portée par un phrasé feutré qu’on entend rarement sous nos latitudes. Les voix se répondent : au parlé-chanté, presque gainsbourien, répondent des lignes mélodiques plus aériennes. Qu’elles soient artistiques, personnelles ou professionnelles, nos passions nous portent, nous animent et nous repoussent, parfois, dans nos retranchements. Ainsi nous découvrirons ensemble 4 films au sein desquels l’art s’exprime, l’ivresse de la victoire nous enflamme, l’implication frôle l’acharnement, mais où l’amour de l’engouement prime avant tout.
