LA DÉRIVE : ISSUE 1 LAUNCH LA DÉRIVE becomes print. To mark its first anniversary, LA DÉRIVE launches its first printed publication : a zine exploring contemporary manifestations of Situationism through conversations, essays, visual narratives and creative trajectories shaping today’s cultural landscapes. On May 20th, we invite you to join us at Cahier Central in Paris for a launch evening bringing together contributors, readers, creatives and collaborators that map LA DÉRIVE. Conceived as both a launch and a community gathering, the evening reflects what the platform has become over the past year: an evolving space for dialogue, circulation and encounters across art, design, fashion, cinema and contemporary culture. See you soon.

TOUCH - 214 @214_ins @jiazazhi I love the word « touch »—both its meaning and its sound. The photographs in this book span over a decade of my life. Below are fragments of my thoughts and feelings while capturing these images: Sometimes it wasn’t easy. I wrestled with myself in those moments, often giving up—but occasionally, I lifted my heavy hand and pressed the shutter. I want viewers to feel as though they’re pushing against a wall when looking at these photos, sensing the resistance pushing back. With photography, I wage war against time. My images are weapons in this battle. Intimacy is rare for me—whether emotional or physical. I’m not a gentle person, but I want to become gentle. Water droplets slide down my arm. I feel them. When they fall—cool? Ticklish?—neither word captures that sensation. Can photographs bring me closer to that feeling better than words ever could? *Tangibility!* These photos are about the raw sensation of being alive! If you’re happy, clap your hands. If you feel alive, take photographs. Earlier I called photography my weapon against time. Yet ten years later, flipping through these images, time only reveals its cruelty—mocking my resistance. Time now isn’t seconds or hours, but what’s happened and can never happen again. Time *is* change; only change reminds us time exists. Photography doesn’t need to be responsible for truth—that isn’t its purpose. Like cinema, it refuses to let death be a freeze-frame. Photos let memory’s film rewind and play once more. Photography can even create new memories.

STACKS - DAN BOULTON @friendeditions @danboultonphotographer Shot over two decades at London’s Southbank, the series captures the spirit of one of skateboarding’s most iconic sites. Boulton pairs archival images with new photographs—including portraits of his sons—to explore continuity, memory, and place. STACKS evolves from documenting a subculture into a generational story of legacy and belonging.

NINETEEN HUNDRED 2 @nineteenhundredmagazine @ysaorathibus The second issue of Nineteen Hundred continues its commitment to portraying women in sport through culture, art, and other forms of expression, reaching far beyond the realm of elite athleticism. This issue weaves invisible threads between what is seen and what remains unseen, through creativity and the fundamental necessity of existence. From the sweat of Muay Thai captured by filmmaker Quintessa Swindell, to the suspended gesture of contortionist Celeste in Lacoste shoes, to the curves of Olympic architectures envisioned by Zaha Hadid. From the majorettes of Atlanta to the young field hockey players of Belgium. From Manhiza raising her slogan in defense of Afghan women’s freedoms, to Zakia Khudadadi posing alongside her mother and her coach, Haby.
