Where do I even begin… I guess I’ll start by saying THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone in my life who have contributed to helping me reach this milestone. When I started my career in 2009, I’ve crossed paths with countless people, from my colleagues at work, athletes and coaches I’ve covered, sports and business executives, some of which have become great friends. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you guys so again, I am thankful to you all.
I’m overwhelmed. There’s way too many people to thank so for this specific moment, I’d like to focus on the Philippine Movie Press Club for giving us this honor and of course, my Bilyonaryo News Channel Family for the love and support.
I think it goes without saying that pretty much every talent that enters the industry dreams about having his or her own show. And I’m thankful to have been given the opportunity to quarterback my own, now award-winning program, ‘The Scorecard’. To our Big Bosses at BNC, Gil Cabacungan, Rey Marfil and Chair Favila, maraming, maraming salamat po sa tiwala.
To the great team around me, I love you guys. Thank you to my amazing co-host, @erikakristensen . You are a godsend. To our wonderful Executive Producer, Jackie Aspiras. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Boss Jay Vasquez. Best Sports Graphics in the Business. Our hard-working writers, Toni and Aya. Salamat!
It’s only been six months since this latest chapter in my Sports Broadcasting journey started but after this, trust that we are now even more inspired to continue giving you, our audience the Best Sports Show possible.
Because after all…
Sports is our Business. And Business, is our Sport.

As a Football ⚽️ Fan who can’t wait to root for Brazil 🇧🇷 in the World Cup this year, these are just perfect! Thank you, @havaianas.philippines ! The @vinijr 7️⃣ collection is out now! 🩴
Looks like league organizers saw the numbers and God saw the unseen hours. A fitting end to #TheLastDance. Thank you, @gmanetwork and my @gmaregionaltvnews teammates. #GMABasketballLeague 🏀🫰🏼
NGL… I’m a fanboy of a lot of the athletes I cover but our most recent guest on #TheScorecard 🟨 took me back to 2003! Asi Taulava was my favorite PBA player during my high school and college days so it was so surreal to have him on my show after watching so many of his games live at the Cuneta Astrodome back in the day. Thank you so much, @agelessasi88 !! Exclusive interview coming out soon on the Bilyonaryo News Channel. @bnc.ph 📺
(That jersey is more than 20 years old. My DLSZ teammate, @martinreyes14 bought it for me at the Araneta Coliseum after winning some PBA tickets from Coach @junosauler in a post-practice shooting contest. Finally got it signed. Hahaha!)
A lot of fun hanging out with @gamedaywithboom , @apppledavid and @nicosalva on #AllInSaArena for the NBA Playoffs! 🏀🔥 Tune in to the ArenaPlus PH Facebook Page every 9PM for exciting games, expert analysis, more laughs and fearless forecasts on the games. #ArenaPlusPlayoffsMVP #NBAonArenaPlus

Core Memories from the GMA-NCAA era:
• Official NCAA IDs. They’re supposed to be six but S96 was done remotely.
• Working w/ Philippine sporting legends, Eugene Torre and Stephen Fernandez for the first-ever online Chess & Taekwondo tournaments.
• Martin Javier welcoming me on my 1st day (physically) at GMA Network.
• So, Martin and I, along w/ Mikee Reyes and “Coach Hammer” Martin Antonio had this show that aired in-between the games called ‘Game On!’ and it was wild.
• Before the games were opened to the public, we were in a bubble at LSGH. We covered the likes of Fran Yu, JM Calma and Justin Arana who are now in the PBA.
• Taking a pic w/ Mycah Go and Gayle Pascual, who started the 4-PEAT of the Benilde Lady Blazers.
• During our CSR Workshops, I came up with the idea of reenacting scenes from GMA Teleseryes as an icebreaker. It was a good way to shake off the initial shyness, build teamwork and maybe discover some hidden talents.
• Proud NCAA Champions and Alumni, Robert Bolick and Rey Nambatac are always game to give back.
• When I got hired by GMA, I started watching some of their teleseryes to familiarize myself further w/ the Kapuso culture. ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ became one of my favorites. So, when Juancho Triviño and Kiel Rodriguez made an appearance at the Beach Volleyball tournament, I treated them like their characters on the show - mga kontrabida!
• First time in Dubai for an overseas coverage.
• Working with my Amigo, Ledz Cahinhinan.
• Our CSRs getting some valuable insights from Pia Arcangel.
• Aside from my duties as an Anchor, I also served as the scriptwriter. Andrei Felix gave my caption more life on the actual broadcast.
• Before covering Game 3, I went to San Beda to interview Jacob Cortez for the coverage. No cameras. Just the old-fashioned way of information gathering pre-social media.
• Congratulating Clint Escamis after leading Mapúa to their first NCAA title in 33 years.
• Visiting the Lady Knights in Letran for a feature.
• Pre-prod for the last game of S101 w/ my long-time Bosses, Ms. Jen, Direct Abet and Sir Vic.
• 16 years in the industry and still writing notes.
• [See caption on photo.]
• Last day at work. Salamat, GMA.
