Christoph Waltz as John Wells Snr - The Portable Door. Character ageing make up on the incredible Christoph Waltz. Created with Jen Lamphee @jen_lamphee who also did the hair work. Assisted in the make up by the awesome Britt Jones @brittljoness . All work was for Make Up and Hair Designer Jen Lamphee @jen_lamphee and Prosthetic Make Up Designer Steve Boyle. @formation.effects A tricky one as Christoph plays both this character, and this character’s son, Humphrey Wells in the film. I had the task of ageing him up and transforming him enough to play the father of his younger character. The original prosthetics pieces I created weren’t used in the end unfortunately except for the very small ProBondo mole above his left eye. Ageing and transforming done with Allied Fx age stipple, colouring with Allied Fx Bluebird inks @alliedfxco and Jens brilliant work with the hair and the lace moustache. Jens beautiful make up and hair work on the younger of Christoph’s 2 characters, Humphrey Wells, was the key to trying to pull this off!

This post is not of my work but is one of love, adoration and pride in the creative genius & the unbelievable talent of my incredible partner, Viktoria Novak @viktorianovak . Vik designs and hand-makes every single one of her gorgeous crowns and headpieces herself. They are exquisite, timeless and elegant creations. She pours her creative heart and soul into them. She is not only a leader in this niche of millinery in Australia, but internationally. She was the first ever Australian milliner to have a solo exhibition at the prestigious New York fashion week and has graced the covers of countless prestigious fashion magazines. Her work shone bright on the show Reign. There is no team or factory mass producing, no outsourcing, no awful overseas imports of cheap, tacky or nasty products or finished pieces. Just Viktoria. She has been blatantly ripped off, copied and had her intellectual property stolen by countless shameless companies and other “designers” both nationally and internationally, both big and small in the fashion industry. She has faced and dealt with the undeniably immoral and unethical tactics of the fashion industry with nothing but grace, style and elegance. She will never be matched in her creative genius and groundbreaking designs, no one raises the bar like her. She is a true one of a kind creative, an unmatched visionary in her field. I’m so incredibly humbled to be able to hold her hand and call her my love. There is only one Viktoria Novak and the Queen of Crowns!

Furiosa - Chumbucket appliance sculpts - a mash up and mix of the appliance sculpts for the Chumbucket character played by Bryan Proberts. I tried to get some elements of the game character in there as a bit of a nod but time wasn’t on our side to really go all out unfortunately.
