Been a while.. Quick skull jacket mold I made on Zbrush and printed in PLA. Mold poured in Mold Star from #smoothon and skull cast in rigid foam.
Plenty of things to improve on but it should pump out plenty of casts for spooky season.

So I killed my new printer.
Decided to push the limits and print with 100% soft resin.
Opened it up to find resin had cured all over the LCD screen AND seeped into it past the black tape.
The good news is you can't find a replacement screen anywhere now.
An almighty kick in the nuts. Another one of life's tests.

The goal is to print all 3 parts. Core in hard resin, outer jacket in PLA and for the 'silicone' I'll test out some flexible resins

A WIN.
With 3d molds it's very rare that an idea works on the first try.
I sanded the PLA core to reduce print lines in the baldiez. Sculpted up this cultist scarification forehead.
Next I bolted it together and poured silicone.. almost zero leaking
(I expected some)
Silicone came out of the jacket with ease.
Scraped the sculpt off, released both sides, sprayed them up and ran it in gel 10.
The edges had no silicone at all, zilch, nada!
Only issue was not enough release on the PLA so they did rip upon demould.

3 part jacket mold printed!
Printed on @jmbfxstudio CR-10s at .2mm for speed so it's rough around the edges but clicks in pretty sweet.
Next thing to do is sculpt a forehead piece and pour some silicone, if it doesn't come pouring out the seams it will be a success!
