Big news!
I’m beyond excited (and very grateful) to have been awarded an @artscouncilengland Research & Development project grant ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The project marks a big new direction in my work, bringing together large-scale sculpture, biophilic design and kinetic systems.
Over the next year I’ll be exploring how public art can support biodiversity and habitat creation, combining metal structures, planting and wind-powered water systems with community co-design.
I’ve quietly started chipping away at the project already, although festival season means the bulk of the R&D begins properly from September onwards.
I’ll be sharing more as it unfolds, and I’ve also started a blog on my website if you’d like to follow the journey (link in bio).

Eight years of WTF Workshops… Six years in our beautiful Bristol unit… Now it’s time for a new chapter. We’ve moved!
Felix will be continuing the legendary One-Day Scrap Metalwork courses with @arcadia in Backwell, kicking off later this week with a group from the @citrusartsuk Young Artworkers programme.
Meanwhile I’m focusing on my own art practice and the next chapter of @totem_fx from my new workshop just outside Bristol in Winterborne.

@anniechapter joined our 6-week beginners’ jewellery workshop and has made an impressive start to her jewellery-making journey.
These playful “fan-danglers” earrings showcase Annie’s skills for creating eye catching form. Usually working on much larger metal sculptures, Annie incorporating multiple traditional techniques learned during the course to hone her talent into working on a much smaller scale. A brilliant first statement piece — we can’t wait to see what she creates next!
I thoroughly enjoyed making these baddies at @fluxbristol . I’m calling them my ‘Fan-Danglers’. Working teeny-tiny is such a joy…. And a learning curve. As part of the Bubbles of Love commission, creator @felixrowberry , together with @anniechapter , was invited to Cobden Works to lead a weekend workshop for women metalworking practitioners across Greater Manchester.
