The High Courtâs decision sends a clear message: the Government cannot simply reach for sweeping counter terrorism powers to suppress protest.Â
Â
We welcome this judgment as an essential check on overreach and a powerful reminder that fundamental rights still carry weight in UK law.
Â
We urge the Government to respect the ruling and NOT to appeal this decision.Â
Â
We will continue to expose attempts to erode our rights.
Right now, Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos is at the Nakba Day demonstration in London. The 88-year-old has attended almost every demonstration in the last two yearâs protesting Israelâs genocide in Gaza.
Stephen stands and sits with family and members of his group the âHolocaust Survivors & Descendants Against the Genocide in Gazaâ.
He told us:
"Today, we commemorate not only the 1948 violent displacement and dispossession of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs during the creation of the State of Israel. But the unlawful occupation of Palestinian land and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.â
âJustice for the Palestinians must be demanded and fought for by peoples of the world to force their own governments to act to end Israel's genocide, occupation and apartheid.â
âThat is why these marches have been attacked so much â it is the threat we pose to injustice. And the symbol of solidarity and hope we represent.â

"The Nakba continues until today."
78 years ago today, Huda's father was one of more than 800,000 Palestinians forced from their homes when the state of Israel was created.
Huda's father, Fareed Al-Imam, was forced to seek refuge in Sheikh Jarrah in 1948. But today that neighbourhood is threatened with eviction by the Israeli authorities.

The failure of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to suspend Israel from Eurovision, as it did with Russia, is an act of cowardice and an illustration of blatant double standards when it comes to Israel.
Decisions and opinions by international courts, and resolutions by the United Nations General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council, over the last decades, have repeatedly condemned Israel for its multiple and egregious violations.
Songs and sequins must not be allowed to drown out or distract from Israelâs atrocities or Palestinian suffering.
There should be no stage for Israel at Eurovision while there is an ongoing genocide.
Israel's impunity can no longer be tolerated, and people everywhere must act in accordance with their conscience and stand up for human rights.
Today's King's Speech must be a turning point.
We need to create a society and social security system that ensures everyone has enough to live with dignity.
The UK Government must urgently replace the social security regime with a system rooted in dignity, fairness and human rights.
Palantir back in the news? AGAIN?
Canât say weâre shocked.
US software company Palantir and other contractors have been granted unlimited access to identifiable NHS England patient information.
This is a serious threat to our privacy rights.
Ready to get Palantir off our NHS England?
Weâre going local.
You can take action locally, with your neighbours, to get our NHS England to pull the plug on itâs contract with Palantir.

Content warning: distressing images of sexual violence
The #AmnestyMediaAwards Photojournalism Award 2026 went to MarĂa Ximena BorrazĂĄs Cataldo @xborrazas for âThe Scars of the Warâ.
Atrocities against civilians in Tigray have subjected women to horrific abuse. Sexual violence amounts to war crimes and possible crimes against humanity.
The work of journalism must be to ensure injustice cannot be buried in silence, to expose complicity and demand accountability.

Federico Escher, head of foreign news at Channel 4 News, gave this powerful speech at the Baftas when Channel 4 won the News Coverage award for "Israel-Iran: The Twelve Day War."
More journalists and media workers were killed in 2025 than in any other year since the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) began collecting data more than three decades ago.*
Two-thirds of the journalists killed were by Israeli forces.*
We pay tribute to the journalists who sacrifice so much - sometimes their lives - to expose human rights abuses.
