2016 was the height of my handbag brand I started from the ground up as a passion project. It was distributed to USA, Canada, Korea, Europe, Australia, Taiwan and Japan in some of my favourite shops like United Arrows Tokyo and I.T. We had many amazing collaborations with brands like Stussy, featured in my favorite magazines around the world like Nylon Mag, Vogue, Elle, Lodown and so many celebrities like Lana Del Rey were seen carrying it. I didn’t dance I didn’t exercise I never went out I didn’t take care of myself and my health was at its worst! I worked endless long hard hours especially in the middle of the night and didn’t think I would ever burn out! After 10 years I put it on pause to focus on my health but looking back…it was a great brand and I got to work with so many incredibly creative women! No regrets! That time of the year where I celebrate my brain surgery anniversary and this year it happened to coincide with prestige Women Of Power- Golden Glow Event. I get to spend an evening in the presence of strong women to inspire me to reach for more goals and dreams…I’m honoured to be a prestige Women of Power alumni alongside these incredible women. My dance journey began @sdz.hk 5 yrs ago randomly in @kicheung5678 lo-c’s class. I fell in love with dancing again after a 17 year break filled with despise for dancing! I looked forward to my once a week classes! Coming back I fell a lot, learnt how to balance again, forced myself out of my comfort zone to dance in a more emotionally vulnerable way in heels, complicated floor work aka TRX with @serenatkl which I never thought I would learn to love as much as I do therapeutically I pushed myself to try different styles that made me feel lost in @rahongboy class And even lived out my childhood dream of being a b-girl with @po.withthe.flo @estherstar I fearfully went back on stage and felt the support of a group of dancers backing me in the dark and met some incredible people ❤️ I struggled, I felt a lot of pain and had countless injuries but I loved every minute of it! This was the perfect closure for me with the final week of SDZ before they close with @maggie__yu thank you for the push ❤️ I finally successfully danced in a spotlight without blanking out for the first time since my surgery and I realized I have come a long way….and for that…I am finally feeling a bit proud 🥹 Thank you @sdz.hk for the memories and to all my dance mates who laughed & sweat it out together. @kaitlyn_yeung_kl @winwinwinny @stella.ladanz @catherinefok966 @tsairkelly @lolo.carol @kitty3lai @eva.jai @divagigiyiu @anni1116 @adaflora @wongcarmond Let’s keep vibing and laughing together ❤️

It always starts with a random persons stare and then they stop me to say “your sister is SO beautiful” I say “thank you” & smile because I know it’s true…both outside and even more so on the inside, beyond what you can imagine a mother would do for their child with no expectations but my happiness. If she hadn’t looked so devastated & heart broken in my broken state after my surgery I wouldn’t have fought my way so hard with a vengeance to where I am today…. ❤️ Fiercely loyal, always the first to protect the underdog, she’d give up anything if it meant someone needed it more 아름다운 엄마 사랑해요 ❤️

(That picture of me 🤣 ugh!) When this Netflix celebrity chef approached me and asked me to make her into a dancer in less than a months time with zero dance experience, zero sports & stretch experience…I of course, stepped out of retirement once again and took on this crazy challenge to ultimately prove it could be done! You know I’m a sucker for the impossible! 🤣 For those of you who have seen me on work mode, you know I can be a perfectionist and I can be slightly INTENSELY DEMANDING (to say the least) with details from the fingertips to your eyelash gaze all the way to the pinky toe position… with that end goal we need to achieve…we might die along the way but somehow we’ll get there whatever it takes! But she worked incredibly hard and no matter how much I pushed her, SCREAMED, physically abused at times throwing her body around🤣…she always smiled back sweetly, lifted her chin up and tried again and again and said she would do it! Never once did she complain! We couldn’t meet as often as I’d hoped as she worked from 11am-11pm every day and flew back & forth to Korea for shows often and this wasn’t an easy piece for someone who had never danced before to suddenly perform for an audience with texture, feel, performance acting, and sensual movements with nice alignment…alone in front of so many cameras in such a limited period of time!!! I’m so proud of you ❤️ you really did it! I hope somehow you enjoyed the process and I hope you continue to dance for yourself!
