Today I made a neck shrine with ‘outsider artist’, chef, teacher and musician Sue Kreitzman, who is living proof that colour and art can lift the spirits, and age is definitely nothing but a number! Thanks to artist @jaime_freestone_art for his help and guidance and glueing skills. I felt rather like a Lady Mayor wearing my neck shrine on the tube home (and luckily not too overcome with the not-quite-dry glue fumes!) Coming to a YouTube screen near you soon thanks to my talented colleague @ericanderson___ .. watch this space!

What a fantastic morning as Paul Atherton received the Freedom of the City of London. Paul has been homeless for seventeen years, and said receiving the accolade made home feel ‘seen’ and ‘heard’! Great to see @alondonerslondon_ @theshowbizscene @solomiazoumaras

I had the BEST brunch yesterday courtesy of Sohini @smokeandlime , who pulled together an array of interesting, amazing women to sample some of the tastiest, tangiest most flavourful zero-waste Indian food. Nothing like I’ve ever tried before but have been dreaming about since. The phuckcha aloo dum, the banana blossom fritter with banana skin chutney ( yes, skin!) the broccoli sambal, the sandish… I feel like a whole new world of flavour has been opened up on my tastebuds.Thank you for the invite Sohini and the company of such inspirational guests!

Last year I won a fantastic prize in a raffle on the opening night of @barchabarchalondon a meal for two every month for a year! This month I decided to take @nora1310 to give her a taste of Tunisia, and the food did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious chorba, brik and main course of lamb chops and merguez. Had to be followed by Tunisian mint tea and pastries.. yum! 10/10 😋

It is 2 months since my landmark judgment ‘Ms S Pal v Accenture UK Ltd’ was handed down. We are seeing a major movement of advocacy for women with Endometriosis. This is because of the collaborative efforts of incredible endo warriors across the country who are braving their storm to speak up and share their story. There are so many voices coming through for us: supportive MPs, journalists motivated to make a positive change, compassionate organisations, inspiring artists and activists. Humankind is leading with empathy and curiosity. Endometriosis has no cure right now. It is a progressive whole body inflammatory disease from a gynaecological source. Like all health conditions, endometriosis has a range of severities. It is a condition which can be disabling and my case of Unfair Dismissal has set legal precedent for women with endometriosis to be protected under the Equality Act 2010. My campaign to formally list Endometriosis in the Equality Act 2010 Guidance on the definition of disability is to ensure that every employer in the UK adheres to their legal duty. To put an end to women with Endometriosis facing discrimination in the workplace. My mission goes beyond endometriosis. It is for every impairment with fluctuating and recurring effects that women struggle with every day - adenomyosis, fibroids, PCOS, PMDD, menopause and menstrual disorders. And there are many more conditions that I am learning about from your comments and messages. Thank you to everyone who is supporting my campaign for endometriosis in the workplace. I’m so happy to be able to post this clip of the coverage on @bbcnews @bbclondon by the very special @annareporting . You can write to [email protected] if you are struggling to get support and want to share your story. We’re stronger together. Onwards and upwards 💪🏽 #endowarrior #disability #rights #justice #action

The weekend that this BBC News article by Anna O’Neill came out was an incredibly emotional one for me. In telling my story of this now almost 7 year David and Goliath battle for justice, Anna saw me for who I really am and helped me to find my place in the world again. She presented me as the ambitious woman I was before my Endometriosis diagnosis and brutal unfair dismissal from Accenture. The words in her article are my truth. It has been the hardest journey fighting for justice since 2019. There has been so much shame, solitude and sadness. I have gone from not be able to talk about what happened to me at Accenture to knowing that talking about it is the only way to find peace… …and make systemic change. @annareporting has stirred the nation. She has helped women across the UK who are disabled due to Endometriosis to feel seen and heard in the workplace; given us all a renewed hope. Thank you Anna for the care and attention you have taken with my story. For seeing that my crusade for justice is for all women with Endometriosis to be treated fairly in the workplace so that they can thrive in their careers. We’re talking about a revolution. I’m so grateful to everyone who continues to support me through this journey. Special mention to my gynaecologist, the wonderful Dr Emeka Okaro who performed my surgery, saved my life and continues to look after me. We’re stronger together. Onwards and upwards 💪🏽 #endowarrior #disability #rights #justice #action

This is the story of millions of women struggling at work because chronic gynaecological conditions like Endometriosis are not being acknowledged or understood by employers. My landmark judgment against Accenture handed down on 19 January 2026 sets legal precedent for endometriosis to be considered a disability under the Equality Act 2010. It also analyses discrimination because of something arising in consequence of disability. Fair treatment in the workplace is a fundamental right. Yet women across the UK being disabled by Endometriosis are at the receiving end of unlawful treatment: - employers not listening to the symptoms and treatment required despite medical evidence - inadequate assessment of the substantial adverse effect on the ability to carry out normal day to day activities, which includes absence for surgery and recovery period - not being referred to Occupational Health for further support - failure to make reasonable adjustments - use of disciplinary procedures for misconduct due to sickness absence - unfair dismissal using rigid capability procedures like the corporate ‘up or out’ model or no capability process at all I know how daunting it is to speak up about a difficult situation in the workplace that has been thrust upon you; how intimidating it can be to speak your truth when you are under duress to save your job. But know that you are not alone. Pages 27-34 of the Employment Appeal Tribunal judgment outline the statutory definitions and tests for disability under the Equality Act 2010 and the application of this in my case. You can read the judgment on my CrowdJustice page (link in bio). The time is now to ensure that all women who are struggling with endometriosis are treated fairly in the workplace. Thank you to @annareporting @earliebird8 @bbclondon @bbcnews for covering my story and putting Endometriosis in the workplace under the spotlight. We’re stronger together.
