Loved chatting to Ash Valenzuela-Heeger last week at her Fix the Food Chain event. What a perfect guest chef for this ambitious series! Not only did she deliver South African style and favour - BBQ and biltong crumb - she delivered on the brief, devising a surprising menu that centred around one main ethical and sustainable ingredient: venison. She’s busy preparing for the opening of The Riverine Rabbit, which should be a massive hit given her unpretentious approach to dining and passion for provenance. #fixthefoodchain #sustainablefood #venision #popup #sustainablecooking #sustainability

Our wonderful client, The Peacock Inn has won the Best Pub Award for the East of England in the 2026 Countryside Alliance Awards šŸ¦ššŸ† Voted for by their customers, it reflects the values that make them so special - warm hospitality, genuine local support, and a commitment to quality in everything they do. Next stop: the House of Lords, they’ll join fellow regional winners to compete for the National Champion title.

Chef Sam Clover loves fermentation, and this dish is a perfect snapshot of his mastery. Such a pleasure to work with these guys - humble people working hard, doing what they love.

In a little break away from food content, I recently had the pleasure of shooting the gorgeous Suzanne aka @sundarablockprinting at her beautiful studio barn in Ayot St Lawrence. As a graphic designer, creativity is in her bones and it was such a treat to spend time capturing her craft; Indian block printing. Her designs are exquisite 😊 If you’re looking for a bit of mindful ā€˜you’ time, one of Suzanne’s workshops might be just what you need ā¤ļø

I’ve had a particularly lovely week for shoots so far, starting with a fabulous website shoot for the gorgeous Suzanne @sundarablockprinting (more to come from this!) Then yesterday I had the pleasure of hanging out with @joe_clark_chef and @alexxxxking and the brilliant team at their fabulous pub @thebull_muchhadham They’ve done amazing things, renovating and turning a once tired boozer into a beautiful space serving Joe’s exceptional menu. I’ve no doubt that they’ll be on the radar come awards season as this family run local gem is ripe for the recognition it deserves. Oh and I can’t forget the gorgeous Pepper (see last pic) - their adorable (and well behaved!) dog 🄰

It was an absolute treat to be invited to try the new Ć  la carte menu at @thesilvercup this week. Having recently moved away from a tasting menu model, the new menu offers bites, small plates and mains so you can enjoy a snack or indulge in a more decadent meal. The menu is well thought out with something for every palate. It was all incredible - as Matt’s food always is - and we loved all the dishes, but the flavours of the starters were particularly stand out. Tuna with JalapeƱo, sweetcorn and coal oil. And off the specials board - a chicken parfait with morello cherries. We had venison and Aylesbury duck for main - beautifully seasonal and perfectly cooked. And I can’t forget to mention the crispy pig croquettes with lovage that we had as a cheeky appetiser. Not pictured but incredible! Their entry in the @michelinguide and ranking in the @top50gastropubs is so well deserved and a testament to Matt’s hard work and dedication to his craft. I’m lucky enough to visit a lot of pubs with my job but we are so lucky to have this gem on our doorstep 😊
