The catalog for my exhibition THESE DAYS I THINK A LOT ABOUT THE DAYS THAT I FORGOT is now available.
The publication focuses on the exhibition, which can be read as a portrait of three women and generations: her grandmother, her mother, and myself. Drawing on her own childhood, Breit explores how memories are formed, passed down, and consciously shaped. Through photography, she creates moments with her mother that are not only experienced but also captured and preserved as images.
With texts by @kohout and @maria_venzl

The catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same name at the Francisco Carolinum @fc_linz presents portraits of three generations – grandmother, mother and the artist herself. Archival images meet new analogue photographs; gestures and textiles become vessels of memory. This creates a photographic dialogue between past and present – an intimate, multi-layered view of family, transience and what remains.
Anna works across fashion photography and artistic projects, focusing on people and relationships, particularly those within families and among friends. She shoots exclusively on film and often uses a bright, powerful flash, retouching her photos very little. In 2020, she published her first photography book, “Teens (in their rooms)”, which attracted international attention. Anna Breit has taken part in various exhibitions at OstLicht Vienna, the Sheriff Gallery in Paris, the Museum der Arbeit in Hamburg and the 71A Gallery in London. Her work has been published in international magazines such as KUNST Magazine (New York), Artnet, Vogue Italia and Kaltblut Magazin (Berlin).

Hot off the press: @anna_breit s catalog, accompanying her exhibition “These Days I Think a Lot About the Days That I Forgot” at the Francisco Carolinum. Breit's photographic works operate at the intersection of documentary, applied, and artistic photography and are characterized by a sensitive exploration of interpersonal relationships. 💐

At the end of last year, @monocle_subscriber commissioned me to photograph people from Vienna to capture the fashion scene here. To make it more fun for myself, I turned it into a secret edition for friends and family and scattered my loved ones throughout it.
So here are the photos of people from the fashion industry and my friends and family.
