Time for a shout-out for my dear friend Nina Ober, who illustrated the book that has been out for a week now. I love her style and creative work (we've known each other for ages), and I particularly like the idea of drawing these politicians (and one politician's wife) in a cut out paper doll style. It goes so well with what I wrote and, since it does not take itself completely seriously, it also reflects the style of writing, if I may say so. Spent something like 60 hours in Dresden and saw a lot of very nice things. The Historical Green Vault taught me that you can never have enough presentation panels on your wall for your precious knick-knacks.
So did the Zwinger museum's porcelain department with quite fantastic interiors created by Peter Marino.
And a little Bruegel will always make you happy, but you don't need to come to Dresden for that if you're from Vienna.
Nothing special to see, just an impressive wall piercing at Triennale Milano one week before the Winter Olympic Games. 💍

Looking back at the year in fashion through the lense of my polls and I think we talked about everything and everyone that needed to be talked about.
Here's a loose selection in no chronological order, starting from the news that the Christian Lacroix brand was to be revived (who still remembers this bit of news), the ass crack on the Diesel runway, new colours in the world of Rolex, a mystery stain on Anna Wintour's Met Gala gown.
Also, you judged all the new collections by new designers (Loewe, Versace, Dior, Chanel &c &c) and some of the unmissable trends of the year.
So here's to our own bit of fashion democracy and all the polls we shall conduct in 2026, hopefully.
