Still thinking about @mexico_kizomba_congress . Couldn’t have asked for a better first festival. It was so crazy to be able to directly learn from and dance with people that I have followed and admired for so long. This dance with @1aseric on the first night was one of the highlights of the weekend. I just kept thinking “Wow, I’m really here! It’s happening! I’ve seen this move in a video! Omg I’m following it!” 😂. Eric is such an incredible lead. I had a ton of fun! 🙌🏾 I grew so much from dances like this throughout the festival. I am beyond inspired to keep practicing and growing. This has been happening a lot lately. My spirit is so loud and I love listening to it. Life is a beautiful thing 🥰

I’ve been social dancing for 10+ years… and I’ve always done the “dancing” part just fine. The “social” part? Not so much 😅 For the first time, I really feel like part of a community (first birthday circle, too!). I didn’t realize what I was missing… but everything happens when it’s meant to and not a moment sooner. I’m grateful to have met and connected with so many lovely human beings through this shared love for kiz.
