Had a fabulous workshop today on performing with reflected sunlight, a presentation of @angles.of.consequence at @worldstagedesign_sharjah . We had a full workshop of willing and creative participants, so grateful for their energy and dedication! Some really lovely moments emerged. Feeling very grateful. ❤️

at Boisé Steinberg
for @angles.of.consequence
14 june 2025
We gathered at Boisé Steinberg, an unruly woodland adjacent to Rue Hochelaga, for a site-specific installation and performance. Through the medium of reflected sunlight, we celebrated the boisé and the many efforts to protect it by its community while navigating ecological mourning, memory, and collective action.
It was a really, really good day.
Thank you @culturenaturestructure and the entire research & production team for your help in all its forms over the past year.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and trusted us to participate.
Thanks as well for support from LePARC, the Milieux Institute, SSHRC, & CALQ.

Excited to see folks soon for "A line is a circle: A solar performance"! Here are some details to help you get to the event. Check out the eventbrite in the linkinbio for more info!
🚗 We will have ONE shuttle departing Honore-Beaugrand metro at 10:30am: look for a red minivan by the 85 EST stop or across the street: we have a cute little shuttle sign.
🚙 If you are driving yourself, free parking is available at the Recluse Sisters nearby at 12050 Boul. Gouin E. Look for our "Angles of Consequence" signs for guidance. From there it is a 6-8 minute walk to the performace site along a bike path.
🚲 Speaking of which: a bike path goes right by the site entrance! You can leave your bike by our security guard at the event entrance.
👮♂️ Oh yeah: we will have security onsite for the protection of our performer and communities.
🪨🪨 The entrance to the site is marked by two large boulders: there is an abandoned house at the rear of a clearing. If you go too fast you will miss it! Again, look for our signs.
The performance is a short, profound one, and we look forward to talking with you about it after the event. See you soon!
