A little over a month ago, I traveled with @threadcaravan to Morocco, a land rich with history that left a lasting mark on me. The air held stories of old traditions and merchants trading spices and silks in bustling markets. The intensity yet warmth and welcoming energy of the people. I strolled through orchards of figs and apples, the call to prayer filled the air, wrapping everything in a quiet sense of the sacred. The food’s bold flavors, the sun’s warm glow, everything felt just right.
We joined Amazigh women, their hands strong as we washed wool in the cold river. We shared a lot of tea, a lot of bread dipped in olive oil, butter and jam, laughs and quiet moments while spinning wool under open skies. Every @threadcaravan trip sparks this awe in me, the beauty of timeless traditions and the warmth of coming together. I’m forever grateful for these moments that remind us of the sacredness and importance of traditions.

Something about women gathering in water, we become and remember that we are water nymphs 💧
Just a few minutes drive from @domehomeretreat is this sacred freshwater spot with the most mesmerising green and blue hues. I saw the gals around the water and really appreciated the beauty of these women and the togetherness we all felt especially after spending a week gathering for such a beautiful cooking retreat, having tea ceremonies, crying, laughing.
I don’t have an underwater camera yet, so it involved a lot of me scrambling over rocks while they waited, playing in the water, the girls getting cold while we tried over and over again so I’m grateful for the patience.
The beautiful town of Barichara, with such warm-hearted people and rich, earth made traditions. I loved connecting with the local with what I could in their language, we somehow understood each other. Truly special place.

I’ve always loved photographing flowers, the patterns in plants, the textures and shapes of rocks. I have a whole collection of albums dedicated to these kinds of photos, going back to my early 20s but I never really shared them here because I didn’t want to ‘disrupt’ how my grid looked but honestly who cares, so enjoy these flowers from the botanical gardens in Syd and California
I’m a little late sharing some these images from the retreat at @domehomeretreat in Feb with @om_cade in Baja California
Stepping out of the airport was quite the sensory overload, loud music, cocktails, and tourists everywhere. I felt an instant wave of gratitude knowing I was heading in a completely different direction.
What a special and intimate week. We nourished our bodies with fresh, vibrant ingredients, foraging from the land. We explored beautiful spice combinations, cooked with fire, and used clay pots by @quiet.earth_ ,also using bamboo as natural vessels for our meals. We used every part of the banana tree, from its liquid to its stem and discovered the hidden geometry in banana stems.
Every morning we gathered for tea, often moved to tears then laughter. We cooked together, shared ideas and stories, found inspiration. Truly special to get to experience and photograph this retreat and create new beautiful friendships.
Thank you @om_cade@domehomeretreat@savfox_
It’s been sooo nice getting some space from this platform.
A couple of things have shifted for me lately, the biggest one is leaving Oaxaca after living there for two years. I thought I would settle there, but I guess I’m still on this journey of travel and movement. Honestly, I’m grateful I’m able to experience living and travelling to so many different places.
For now, I’m back in Australia, my home sweet home, for the next few months. It’s nice to be with friends and family again, surrounded by the Aussie bush and all the familiar places.
There are so many moments I miss Oaxaca so deeply. The amazing community of women, the friendly Oaxaqueñas, the special people I’d meet on my walks and get to have small chats with, the Zapotec and Mixtec traditions, seeing the beautiful traditional textiles worn every day, experiencing dÃa de los Muertos and how death is celebrated, all sorts of altars, the slow rhythm of life, smell and sight of tortillas being made, the annoying cuetes, seeing all the flowers everyone adorns their homes with… all the little things.
These are some photos from my random outings, walking and wandering around mercados, parks, zócalo, pueblitos.
All the yummy aromas of the spices dancing through the air, fresh ingredients simmering in handmade earthen pots. I loved watching it come together in perfect rhythm then tasting that first bite is always so satisfying, knowing every bite holds intention and appreciation that went into the food.
Harmony in cooking with these two.

It was such a pleasure to photograph Adya @onemovementschool (including some beautiful moments with her daughter Munay) and to hear her share her deep connection with her hair and how she truly appreciates and embraces the natural changes that come with age, adorning it with love and grace.
You can read Adya’s interview Volume 19 on @hinu.co
These images remind me of the quiet strength of sisterhood, how we come together in water, our naked skin shown in safety, feeling safe to be tender.
In recent years, I’ve been on a beautiful journey of building deep friendships with women, and it’s been truly healing. Connecting with sisters who understand the rhythms of our cycles, the cycles of our bodies, depth of emotion and vulnerability. Learning to embrace the softer, more tender, yet fierce parts of myself. Deeply grateful.
