ARRI supported the @filmfestmunich The opening film “The Persian Version” (@tpv_film ) from director Maryam Keshavarz (@marakeshfilm ) utilized the ALEXA Mini 🎥 along with SkyPanels and M-Series lighting fixtures.
Cinematographer André Jäger (@andre.jager ) explains his visual choices: “We’re telling the story of a big Iranian family, focusing on the characters within this family—especially the strong women. We quickly opted for the ARRI ALEXA Mini, knowing that we’d work on handheld and Steadicam a lot, so it was important for me to have a compact and reliable camera setup. Shooting at diverse locations and in many different conditions encouraged me in my decision.” 💙

“Afloat” a feature by director Aslihan Unaldi (@aslihanunaldi ) celebrated it’s European premiere at Mostra de València. „Afloat“ is a captivating film about family dynamics and tensions on a sailing trip in the Aegean Sea. Cinematographer André Jaeger used ALEXA Mini and ARRI Master Primes to capture “Afloat,” which was filmed almost entirely on a 13-meter-long sailing boat.
“It was clear to me from an early stage that we would capture 'Afloat' on ALEXA Mini. Due to the small budget and limited shooting days, our setup had to be as compact as possible without compromising image quality. The ALEXA Mini, in combination with ARRI Master Prime lenses, gave me the confidence I needed for this challenging production. The camera’s ability to reproduce natural skin tones even in the glaring midday sun was a deciding factor for me. Beyond that, it's just incredible how detailed highlights can be captured.” - Cinematographer @andre.jager@afloatthefilm will be in competition both in Valencia (@lamostradevalencia ) and at São Paulo International Film Festival (@mostrasp ) in October.

Exactly two years ago I had the opportunity to shoot @afloatthefilm with the support and dedication of the most awesome group of people.
Almost nine years (!) ago @aslihanunaldi told me about this idea for the first time.
I knew right away that this story needs to be told and that I want to help creating it.
Tonight our festival tour starts with the domestic premiere @adanaaltinkozaff I‘m looking forward to it and AFLOAT’S further journey.
This project will always have a special place in my heart and I couldn’t be more happy to have been a part of it.
Aslihan, thank you for this unforgettable experience, your trust in us and your friendship. And for actually making it happen.

The Persian Version @tpv_film was the opening film of the 40th Filmfest München. It was also our European premiere. What an overwhelming experience!
