AI Manifesto. This year’s exhibition of the AGI Congress was entitled “Perspectives on AI”.
AI tools are becoming increasingly powerful, but the outcomes depend on how users apply their knowledge to guide the AI toward the desired results. The sharper the user’s expertise, the more surprising the potential results. Ultimately, it is — and should always be — the human who decides what content is created and how it is presented in this human-machine collaboration.
I’ve set rules for myself in using these tools, balancing aesthetic and conceptual considerations with ethical and human values. I strongly advocate for the origin of creativity — our creative potential is cultivated over years of individual experiences and learning. This uniqueness cannot be replicated by even the most advanced algorithms, which, while sophisticated, can never truly be original.
The future of AI depends on how we use these tools, which is why I propose a Manifesto of AI.

Le livre publié par Jan Tschichold en 1928 ‘La Nouvelle Typographie (Die Neue Typographie)’, et son influence internationale, ont été largement commentés par les chercheur.seuses. Mais les sources citées dans l’ouvrage ont été peu étudiées, en raison de la difficulté à les identifier. Le projet conduit par Davide Fornari et Mattieu Cortat s’est donc attaché à reconstruire le corpus bibliographique de ces sources, afin de permettre une meilleure compréhension du contexte dans lequel ‘La Nouvelle Typographie’ avait paru. L’équipe du projet a ainsi réuni un ensemble d’éditions originales ou en facsimilés, et suscité elle-même de nouvelles reproductions lorsque c’était possible. Conçue comme un outil pédagogique, l’exposition-bibliothèque mobile ‘Déballer la bibliothèque de Tschichold’ propose au public la consultation de tous ces ouvrages, dont l’analyse est restituée sur le site Internet dédié. La conférence sera l’occasion de revenir sur l’élaboration du projet et d’évoquer les perspectives de recherche qu’il ouvre.

Michael Renner dirige l’IDCE The Basel School of Design à la FHNW Academy of Art and Design à Bâle, en Suisse. Il a vécu de près la révolution numérique en travaillant pour Apple Computer et The Understanding Business en Californie, juste après avoir terminé ses études à l’école de design de Bâle. Les activités de conception pratiques, pédagogiques et théoriques de Michael Renner explorent la signification des images dans le contexte des canaux de communication numériques actuels.

He experienced the digital revolution first hand while working for Apple Computer and The Understanding Business in California, just after graduating from the Basel School of Design. Michael Renner's practical, educational and theoretical design activities explore the meaning of images in the context of today's digital communication channels.
