Amuse Bouche Creative Studio has officially arrived! This brand/rebrand has been years in the making, and I’m so happy to share this with the world finally. So, who am I? I’m Abby, and I’m a food photographer, writer, and marketer. For nearly a decade now, I’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing food brands and restaurants, and I decided it was time to beef up my own brand. You’ll find a ton of behind-the-scenes glimpses into my photoshoots, plus plenty of tips and tricks to help you embrace the “Amuse Bouche Life.” If you’re a food lover, producer, or photographer, I’d love for you to follow along, share this with your friends, and drop me a hello in the comments below. Looking forward to connecting with you all! #foodphotography #foodphotographer #vancityeats #vancouverphotographer

I had the absolute pleasure of working with @paragontearoom room on the photos for their collaboration drinks with @earthsown . We went with a couple different styles for this shoot. Starting with some uber colourful and dreamy shots and ending with some clean neutral ones. Which ones are your favourite?

I was in Victoria all last week and had the chance to frequent many of its charming coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants. Hide + Seek (@hideandseekcoffee ) was one of my favourites. I’m a sucker for colour pops, and this place really did it for me. I took my nieces out for tea and tried to teach them the basics of café photography. They were interested for about five minutes, but they kept their fingers warm by cradling their cups while I took a few more pictures. A big thank you to the friendly staff for allowing me to capture the moment! #victoriaeats #yyceats #cafeculture

Lunar New Year is right around the corner, and I just had to share this photoshoot I did for @buttercrumbsyvr ! I had so much fun picking out props for the shoot, and it gave me a chance to explore some places I don’t usually visit, like Aberdeen Mall. By the way, I think there are still a few boxes of cookies left, so if you’re looking for a sweet host gift or just craving some tasty treats, make sure to order a box from @buttercrumbsyvr . I have personally taste tested each cookie, and I can confidently say that you won’t regret it! #foodphotography #lunarnewyear #vancity

I guess I can skip grocery shopping for a while 😉 Huge thanks to @goodtogrowcoaching for sending me this box of goodies from vendors who will be at the From the Ground Up tradeshow on May 6th and 7th. This is a great tradeshow for BC local food producers who want to get their products in front of buyers and industry insiders. Last year, they opened it to the public, but alas, it was a bit much for their tiny team and the vendors. The best way to support local food brands is by a) seeking them out on shelves and online, and b) asking your local grocery store to carry the product. You’d be surprised how effective this can be! And don’t forget to give them a follow 👇 - Gold Soda @gold.soda - Gnubees Kids @gnusante_gnubees - Fraser Valley Hazelnuts @fraservalleyhazelnutsltd - Gulf Island Coffee @gulfislandscoffee - OmNoms @omnomsyum - Blind Owl Flavour Co. @blindowlflavours - Meru Chocolates @meruchocolates - Besee Crunch @besee_crunch - Bestii Beverage @drinkbestii - Big Mountain Foods @bigmountainfoods - Santé Delights @santedelights - Pastaggio @pastaggioyvr

The Victoria beer scene is evolving, with brewers increasingly turning to whisky. Breweries like Phillips, Brass Monkey (formerly known as Moon Under Water Brewpub), Twa Dogs, and Spinnakers are each launching their own whisky brands. But what will define the Victoria whisky scene? Graeme Macaloney from Macaloney’s Distillery highlights the concept of “merroir” – the influence of sea air on the whisky’s character. Meanwhile, Clay Potter of Brass Monkey attributes their whisky’s unique profile to grains grown in Saanichton. Ultimately, only time will reveal how this highly experimental whisky scene develops. Here’s a quick overview of ownership in the local whisky and brewing scene: - Twa Dogs (@twadogsbrewery ) -> Macaloney’s Distillery (@macaloneysdistillery ) - Phillips (@phillipsbeer ) -> Sanctuary Whisky (@sanctuarywhisky ) - Brass Monkey Taproom (@brassmonkeytaproom ) -> Moon Distilling Company - Spinnakers Brew Pub (@spinnakersbrewpub ) For the full article by Abby Wiseman (@amusebouchecreative ), visit flavourreport.com (link in bio).

Happy Holidays! 🎁 I just want to take a moment to send a huge thank you to all of you who have supported me this past year, whether you’re a client or really enjoy keeping up with me on social media. Your support really fuels me! This year has been a big turning point for me as I’ve rebranded my business and relaunched as Amuse Bouche Creative Studio. The feedback has been amazing, and I’m so thankful for all the love and encouragement I’ve received. I wanted to do this cheeky little photoshoot to showcase some of the brands I work with, but it also captures the energy I want to bring into 2026—Lots of colour, fun, and a bit of sparkle! ✨✨ ✨ There are a few folks left off the table in the shoot that I have to shout out: @locobc @madlabschooloffitness @mindfulmonkchocolate @realtreatkitchen @circlewellnessspas Happy Holidays!

If you pick up a @bcbusiness_mag this month, you have a 110% chance of seeing my photo for @suniienergygum in print. If you don't pick it up, your chances drop to 0%, and I don't like that for you. Big congrats to Marie of @suniienergygum on the feature!

The latest edition of @flavourreport is out now for your reading pleasure. The theme for this edition is “Flavour is Place,” which took me to Victoria (not physically) for an article on the growing whisky market and how breweries are leading the way. Check it out online at flavourreport.com. You can also order a hard copy there. Definitely give @flavourreport a follow! #Flavourreport #cdnwhisky

Had to get those holiday headshots! It was so fun doing a holiday-themed self-portrait shoot today (stay tuned for those photos). I always admire people who find creative ways to express themselves through portraiture, and I’m trying to channel more of that energy this year. It took a bit of courage and a few sips of prosecco, but it was so fun to see my vision come to life! On a side note, this is such a good exercise for a photographer because it reminded me what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera and connected me with the client experience.

Of all the holiday shoots I’ve done, this one has to be my favourite, with last year’s @crimpandcrumb shoot coming in a close second. This is the official shoot for @buttercrumbs.yvr holiday Cookie Box. The wrapping paper is custom-designed and adorable, and Agnes has come up with six amazing cookies to gift (or enjoy on your own). My personal favourite was the Citrine Yuzu cream cookies. There’s something about the red-on-red textures combined with the bright flash photography that gives it a super fun, fresh vibe. This shoot actually inspired me to plan my own personal holiday shoot—stay tuned for that! I really appreciate Agnes from @buttercrumbs.yvr for her willingness to try new things and for putting herself front and center for her brand. She’s also thinking ahead, and she’s actually my first client to join my SEASONAL PHOTO PACKAGE, which includes 4 seasonal mini shoots over the course of a year for a flat rate. I’ll be sharing more details about that soon! Go follow Agnes and order her cookies at @buttercrumbs.yvr 🍪 🎁 #foodphotography #yvrphotographer

I have been collaborating with @locobc for a few months to create a campaign for BC Buy Local Week, which is next week! I wanted to remind everyone why the buy local movement is so important, so I pitched the idea to @locobc founder, Amy Robinson, about doing a series on the history of the buy local movement, and luckily, she loved it. This series is one of the more “journalistic” projects I’ve worked on in some time, and it really reminded me how much I love in-depth storytelling, so I’m going to look for more opportunities in this realm. If you want to check it out, please head over to @locobc ! I’ll be posting a new part each day this week. #bcbuylocal #storytelling
