Reflecting on our the twelfth year of The Single Fin Mingle and feeling extremely proud of what we produced in 2026.
Day one might have been the most horrendous SFM day in history but it was no match for The Mingle Magic. Day 2 the sun shone and we saw our biggest ever beach crowds and a SOLD OUT Street Party headlined by some of my dream bands. Day 3 the waves turned on and we watched the world’s best in wonder.
We took risks, added and aimed to elevate what we do all while ensuring this unwavering sense of manakitanga remains at the forefront of The Mingle.
Thank you to my incredible team of talented people and partners that poured themselves into the mahi that made The Mingle so magical in 2026. And finally thank you to everyone who joined us from near and far - you are what keeps The Mingle fire burning… it’s already burning hot for next year🔥

Six years brother.
I miss your wicked sense of humour and your beautiful sense of compassion for everyone around you. I miss listening to music with you and hearing you play such beautiful guitar. I miss your big body sitting in a room - talking about how much ice cream you could eat.
I’m sitting on the porch with some lamb on the BBQ, Pat Methany washing out into the sound of the birds, it’s warm and I know you’re not far.

BINGO - SFM #11
It’s taken me a minute to catch my breath after we called Bingo and celebrated our eleventh edition of @thesinglefinmingle - but boy what a belter!
Thank you to my Mingle whānau — the core team, the volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who threw their hearts into the mahi and made our 11th edition the most magical yet.
2025 was another massive chapter in the SFM story. This year we were able to show what a decade of doing this has led too. Every facet of the festival felt a little more in the pocket, a little more in harmony as we hit all the right notes. For everyone that shows up from near and far (and far out did you come from far!) and fully emerses themsleves in SFM - you are the fuel that continues to keep this fire burning baby.
There’s only a few people that get to see behind the curtain and truly understand what it takes to pull this off and I’m so grateful to have them with me every step of the way. This year we had to dig even deeper as we really went to the well to win it. I’m so proud of these people and for what we achieved in 2025. It’s a beautiful thing.
